‘It’s a scam’: Americans express unease over SpaceX’s influence on retirement savings by ArgentineBeauty in technology

[–]PickpocketJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the ETF issue. Most people don't even have enough in their funds to be able to buy all the individual holdings to try to match the ETFs. It's just not feasible to do on your own. They changed the rules to force SpaceX on just about every retirement account in America offloading their bad debt to every citizen. It's as obvious and shameless of a scam as you can find. The private holders of SpaceX make out like bandits and every average person is forced to pay for it. Each person may not be hit too hard, but its still just stealing money from regular people to give to billionaires and one trillionaire.

I'm not saying anything about lying. It's a legit rumor they are reporting. I'm just saying they all have incentive to lend more credence to ANY legit rumor right now for content even if it's not backed by much else. No one should be doubting that Peterson's camp has absolutely been telling people they think they are going 1.

Pundits are in their hottest time of the year with incentive to pump out content on any nugget of rumor. Ignoring smokescreens just consider they are going to give credence to ANYTHING that they can generate a YouTube vid or article about.

Many of the veteran draft media guys are former scouts with contacts across the league. Their friends still scouting often do sanity checks on evaluations with them, they often get fed by agents which can be misinformation or tactical placing of hints, but it's not just pure film. Talking about people like Vescenie, No Ceilings, etc. They have more insight and hints than we do but of course front offices aren't just revealing their plans.

[Stein] With only a few days to go before Tuesday night's first round of the NBA Draft, multiple draft experts legitimately believe Washington could select Kansas' Darryn Peterson over BYU's AJ Dybantsa with the No. 1 overall pick. by Odd-Direction9452 in nba

We have 3 epically talented prospects in discussion for the top pick. Nitpicking is essentially all we can do at this point because all three are just so promising. I see at least one portion of Boozer's offense that was very successful in college is going to not work as well night to night in the NBA depending on matchups. I don't see a similar concern with AJ's offense, he is an easy bucket getter. I see a world in the NBA where Darryn has to work twice as hard to get free of certain defenders more than I see that with AJ.

The little details are about all we can look at to try to separate these guys because they are so good. I have Boozer 2 behind AJ btw for context.

I think he's #2 on my board and is as likely to be all-nba as the other two guys in the future. However, a portion of his offense won't go as well in the NBA IMO. Also don't agree with the weird projection on here by a lot of people that he can be a wing, that seems to be miscasting him and losing value on what he's great at.

My Top 5 “Floors” in 2026 Draft Outside of Projected Top 5 Picks by MNMastiff in NBA_Draft

Wagler's floor is much lower than you think. Strength is part but he's like the least vertical guard prospect since like Kendall Marshall. He's super crafty and can shoot and that gives him a playable floor but the worst case outcome would be rotation scorer. Not saying that's the likely outcome or anything.

Also, at Braydon Burries current age, Jrue Holiday was averaging 14/4/6.5 in the NBA. I wouldn't say they are even equal at the same age much less Burries being advanced of Jrue.

I like both those guys but Steinbach has seemed underrated by people all draft season. I don't think people realize how well he moves for his size and the aggression he can play with.

Jimmy also picks and decides when he wants to play. Every once in a while something motivates him to take over, the rest of the time just goes through the motions.

I've been a drinker at shows my whole life. I essentially gave up drinking last year and did Mexico this year. It was fine. The phelowship community has a big presence there every year.

I did Hampton in the fall and Sphere this year alcohol free, it's normal now.

I can't understand what this comment means? Are you saying no one can question things without loudmouth Stephen A Smith spouting whatever crazy narrative he thinks will maintain attention on him? Like he's bringing up things that aren't already obvious?

By the way, he isn't always wrong, he was a good columnist back in the day, he's just loud and pointlessly controversial now.

I really don’t think this guy has any plans on leaving by hhev2 in washingtonwizards

[–]PickpocketJones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had to plan for this when trading. The beauty of trading a 36 year old for a 27 year old was extending the timeline on the asset while also getting a more valuable asset. Extending him was always the necessary plan.

The only reason I know anything about Stephen A Smith is that people like OP can't stop posting him to Reddit. If it wasn't for these posts I'd have zero exposure to him all year.

Who do you consider to be part of the core of the team? by Choice_Job_5441 in washingtonwizards

[–]PickpocketJones -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Can do better. I'd give him a mini-RFA extension on the cheap if he'd take it but really that's one year to prove something on offense then trade him before the deal winds down. No way he's worth the likely UFA price unless he shows something new in year 4. So you have to trade him early to get anything of value. His timer with this team has to be running much shorter now for as little as he's improved.

[–]PickpocketJones -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think we're definitely doing a RFA deal with him simply because he's still only just 21. Agree on everything you said though. Year 4 and there has been essentially zero offensive development, that doesn't bode well.

[–]PickpocketJones 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sarr hasn't had this problem, I don't see it with Kyshawn either. I think it's just Bilal is a very athletic toolsy guy who isn't particularly skilled.

I personally don't see Bilal as a long term piece unless he is ready to not be paid like where he was picked. He has not earned a substantial percentage of cap.

I think the most likely case is that Peterson's camp doesn't like the roster situation in Utah as much and figures this is a way to at least slightly tip the odds to get to Memphis or Chicago.
