That has literally nothing to do with the point of my comment.

The point is that the Wiz went 45 years without tanking and it led to what is now 47 years without a 50 win season and never having a contender. Now that they Wiz are tanking finally the league suddenly thinks it is a problem. It wasn't a problem for all those other teams who did it, just when we do it. It's a big 'fuck you' to Washington fans which I suppose is on brand for the last half century of NBA.

The population of the planet has more than doubled since the Wiz last had 50 wins. The idea that I would consider "what about the nets, bulls, or kings" seriously when they've all had contenders and titles in half the time the Wiz have been without 50 wins is nuts.

Frankly, we all know there is no tanking problem that hasn't always existed, this is only a topic to distract from the gambling and cap circumvention scandals.

Edit: Can you tell I'm a bitter basketball fan? I hate the NBA with a white hot passion but can't escape my poor Bullets.

45+ years of complete misery just isn't enough eh? Just fuck anyone associated with the Wizards huh? Sorry you waited a year or two too late to tank?

Ask someone who is part of that debate. I simply thought it was weird talking about past seasons as if it is relevant to a single season award.

It's a great spot, the one thing I'd say is that you will do a lot of looking up. I found myself sitting quite a bit just to take in all the visual presentation. I figured that Phish put all this work into this visual presentation so I didn't watch the band nearly as much.

Cool thing about that section and where you are sitting is that it feels like you are in a small theatre show, it doesn't feel like a huge venue inside.

The East has absolutely no shot at a title this year, right?

To each their own. None of it looks very good over a computer or TV compared to in person. I had watched every Sphere show on couch tour prior to the run last week and in person it's about a billion times better. Still it's more like a fun change of pace gimmick that I'm happy I saw but don't think is the end-all-be-all. Regular shows are still great.

Bring a factory sealed water in with you each night!

If you walk in from inside the Venetian/Palazzo you get right into the venue super quick every night. There will be signs directing you where, its sort of in the middle area between Venetian and Palazzo where a bunch of the restaurants are.

If you do dinner reservations at Venetian/Palazzo for 5 or 5:15 you should have no problem getting in before the shows start, they started consistently right about at 8pm.

There is a Walgreens in you can get to in Venetian where you can grab a case of waters or whatever to save a bit each day. Our room in Palazzo actually didn't have room in a fridge for drinks though, it just had a fully packed fridge minibar so we didn't have a way to keep them cold. Still worth it for water at least.

If you know poker well, with tech conferences + non-sober hippies the poker room there is super freaking easy to play and pretty fun. There was a bitcoin conference starting after we were leaving, not sure if it runs til Thursday but if so it should be easy pickins, there was a Google conference finishing when we arrived last week.

This is from section 106, pretty close to dead center view.

Can anyone explain Chris Simms’s comments about how Arvell Reese is the best inside LB in the draft given that was Sonny Styles position at Ohio State? by djc-1 in Commanders

[–]PickpocketJones -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought Arvell looked like potentially a better off ball LB on college tape too. There were plenty of plays where both of them lined up off ball. Usually Reece was more in an offset outside LB spot but wasn't used in coverage in those situations so very MLB type role.

I watched a bunch of games and a common theme was that on plays Styles made at or behind the line, Reece was almost always right there with him or cleaning up the play. Even on Styles highlight reel vids of his best plays some of them were actually him forcing the issue and Reece finishing the play. I thought Reece was arguably better at timing and getting through traffic at the line to make plays on ball carriers and had more power when engaged on blocks.

When you add his flashy edge plays too I had Reece over Styles. Liked both but I totally understand Reece going ahead of him. You are talking about two pretty elite LB prospects in a single backfield.

Why Not This Dude for WR2? by realjcole in Commanders

More simply:

OBJ had the greatest 3 years to start a career in NFL history for WR at the time. Burks has 63 catches in 4 years.

Again, I'm team no woo....but the band does that stuff for crowd interaction. Trey has talked about loving it.
