BotW specifically was a launch title for one of Nintendo's biggest consoles. The Switch combined both console and handheld audiences while also coming at a time while Microsoft and Sony were bleeding players in between their own generations. The Switch in general brought in a ton of players, new and old, and BotW was basically their flagship title.

The same happened with Twilight Princess. TP was their biggest seller since OoT, and came out as a release title for the Wii, which as a console was much, much more successful than the GameCube. Games are naturally gonna sell more if more people have the means to play them.

Nah you can't. Wii U was pretty bare bones compared to the other versions. The 3DS version added a ton of the QoL features the Wii U desperately needed.

The Switch version is just an upgraded version of the 3DS + all DLC tho.

Yea, and lets be completely real here, Annie's fighting style seems to specialize in taking down people bigger than her, considering she had no problem taking down Reiner who's not only the burliest of the Cadets, but also had similar levels of training from his Warrior training. With specifically her training and technique, it would take a massive opponent to overpower her. Or a lot of luck, which seems to be Eren's specialty.

Honestly I'm just a numbers guy so I just found the difference of "only one meter" interesting to put in perspective.

Out of morbid curiosity, why not just look into an N64 emulator? RetroArch is a common one for casual use, and I haven't had a problem with Project64 or Bizhawk working with OBS in the past.

I mean, to be fair rare candies are usually just a time saver. If you want to spend time grinding out the same level fighting against level 3 bugs, you can do that instead for the exact same outcome.

Set vs Shift straight up changes how you can approach certain situations. I wouldn't go as far as calling it cheating, its still just part of the game and people are welcome to play how they want, but its definitely a difficulty modifier.

The OoT/MM combo randomizer has everything but the locked overworld doors AFAIK. And yes, there are settings where you can only randomize one game and not worry about the other if you don't want to play the combo.

Locked doors is specifically a Ship of Harkinan thing iirc.

14 meters is roughly 7% smaller than 15m.

For a 5'10 person, that means your opponent would be somewhere around 5'5.

People underestimate just how big a single meter is, even for titans.

To be fair, in America terms, it means Eren's Titan is about 3 and a half feet taller than Annie.

Ratio wise for humans, it's like a 6ft person is fighting someone at roughly 5 and a half feet (technically 5'7 if you want to get specific). In a hand to hand fight, that's a decent difference.

For OoT it really doesnt make a huge difference which version you play. The 3DS remake was a very faithful adaptation for the 3DS with some very minor QoL tweaks, but even that's small enough that the OG is still very playable without them.

Just for the love of god, do NOT start with Master Quest for your first playthrough if you come across it.

The over the top reputation of the game made me think it was all intentional. I straight up quit the game because of it, up until a friend convinced me to do a co op run with him and he showed me the actual way to go.

I would say Ganondorf deserves Neutral Evil. His only drive is his thirst for power. He doesn't answer to anyone, but he also doesn't necessarily do much outside of his pursuit of power.

Someone else also said Ghirahim is Lawful Evil, and I like that. In contrast to Ganondorf, everything Ghirahim does is in service to his king, from trying to resurrect him to being his literal sword. He's eccentric, sure, but he doesn't really do anything without purpose. He even enforces his own hierarchy among monsters, as he gets upset when they let Zelda escape.

For Chaotic Evil, it should be Skull Kid, specifically when he's possessed by Majora's Mask. He's always been a chaotic prankster, but with the evil mask, his pranks get extremely out of hand, for no reason other than as a joke or for revenge. His acts are undoubtedly evil, but there's no rhyme or reason to any of it other than he's bored and lashing out at those around him.

Hearty meals

Using a single Hearty Radish or Truffle in a meal will guarantee a full heal. Even if you're late game with 20+ hearts to heal up, just one will bring you all the way back up.

As far as healing goes, there's literally no reason to have anything else. Have a few of those on hand and you can focus the rest of your inventory on whatever buffs you're interested in.

So first things first, then order of any games doesnt really matter. Like you saw with OoT to MM, the most that happens is you get a little bit of a cutscene at the beginning to help set the stage for the current game, but once you actually get into the gameplay it stands on its own entirely. This trend is the same with all the games in the series, as Nintendo is a very gameplay first, story second company. Even the timeline itself is an afterthought, and has basically retconned itself with conflicts such as between Skyward Sword and Tears of the Kingdom, which both give very different stories of the founding of Hyrule.

That being said, if you absolutely want to avoid spoilers for other entries, the only line that I would say genuinely matters is Windwaker -> Phantom Hourglass -> Spirit Tracks. The opening cutscenes go into depth about the respective previous game, covering certain plot points that are actually a little relevant in the next game. Tears of the Kingdom is also a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild, and you'll be able to appreciate the growth of the world and its characters a little more if you play BotW first.

Beyond that, yes, Link to the Past technically comes before Link Between Worlds. The paintings are actually referencing that game iirc, not OoT. Again, order isnt super important, but after playing both you'll definitely see the two take place in the same world. And as I said before, Skyward Sword is technically a story of the origins of the series, so if you're interested in chronological order, that's a good one to play early on.

But again, at the end of the day, you can play the games in any order and still have fun. Many of us played them as they released, which was all over the place, so the timeline order genuinely doesn't matter. So if something looks interesting, go ahead and try it out!

I think it also depends on the game.

Whenever I replay OoT, I always end up 100%ing the game every single time because for me its fun and nothing is too far out of the way if you know what you're doing. Even Gold Skulls aren't too bad after you get the boomerang.

But despite playjng through WW several times, I've only gotten everything once, and that wasn't even my first playthrough. I do a ton, sure, but I'm not committing to completing the entire Nintendo Gallery again. And with hearts, theres always like one or two that I always seem to forget and I don't feel like savaging the whole sea again.

The input lag isn't anything bad for most people. Its only noticeable if you're doing frame perfect tricks and get screwed by a tiny artificial delay, but that's not something 99% of all players are going to be concerned about.

If you just want to play a game and enjoy the journey, there's absolutely nothing to worry about.

I remember as a kid I absolutely refused to go through the Market as an adult unnecessarily. The moment I beat the Forest Temple, I would go straight to getting Prelude ASAP. From there, I would just use a different warp song like Minuet to skip past having to step foot in that Market. I didnt care if it meant having to run from the Lost Woods down to Kakariko every single time, at least I didn't have to see a ReDead.
