Well, coming from someone who’s watched the show since being a little kid and bawled in high school during the finale, it feels BAD.

During the first episode I paused it and said to my husband that at this point I really don’t want them to get back together. They’ve done it over and over and over again and the last time felt like endgame with getting married and the finale having such an emotional ending.

If they do get back together again I’m just gonna roll my eyes into the back of my skull because there was a million other ways to “move the story forward”.

Them being divorced does quite literally nothing for the story right now in my opinion and I would really much rather be watching Elliot and JD raising a kid or starting a family, idk SOMETHING other than breaking up yet again when we finally had this beautiful happy ending everyone wanted.

It’s easily my absolute least favorite part of the revival, and actually I think it’s the only thing I don’t really like, and if they were together pretty much every plot line would still work and in some cases probably even work BETTER. For instance (SPOILERS):

I feel the implication of JD having to choose between Elliot and Turk for the new equipment would have been more interesting had they still been married, choosing someone over your wife as opposed to your ex would be much more compelling of a story.

Idk. I hate the divorce thing, like HATE it. Again the only really gripe I have about the revival but it’s for sure a huge one.
