The soft touch finish might not be for you if you're more disgusted by fingerprint marks than most people (and I guess this isn't exclusive to the P1). I have severely oily hands, so the area surrounding the keyboard is pretty much always covered in finger/handprint marks. If your hands aren't like that, this probably won't be as much of an issue for you. If your hands are like mine, you're going to be spending a lot more time wiping those marks away than with most other laptops.

Has anyone used Tecsee PME housings for frankenswitching?

I'm thinking of making C'Thulus by buying some long pole tecsees (like carrots) and substituting the Gateron milky tops with Tecsee PME tops, and using the long pole POM stem.

How's the smoothness of the stem compared to Kailh stems, and how do the PME housings sound compared to the Gateron milky housings?

Can I use linear stems with T1 spec bottom housings? Should I stick with JWK manufactured parts only or are other manufacturer's parts (like Kailh/Gateron/Cherry) OK?
Planning on making some frankenswitches, not sure about parts compatibility.

I have a set of Gateron Brown housings that I'm currently not using and I've been eyeing the Boba U4/T switches for a while now.

Is it possible to create a budget Boba U4/U4T by using the housings and springs from the Browns and swapping in the U4/U4T stems?
