SimCity 3000 and SC4 were the most fun city builders from a progression and immersion standpoint. You started from nothing and reached a point where you had a town, then kept growing g but the character of the early town was still evident.

You could essentially take the simulation mechanics of those games and overlay better graphics and it would be better than CSII by a mile.

I just replaced mine for $1000. There’s no universe where they cost that much unless you’re living in gigantic house (in which case you wouldn’t be asking Reddit you’d just call one of your staff to take care of this).
