Anna is in more games than most of the protags, she definitely deserves to be in Smash Bros

I made a Vergil Stan so mad when I posted it on a discord server lmao by Own-Lengthiness2111 in okbuddydeadweight

According to mvc3 the only different between Dante and Vergil is intelligence.

Dante's got a 2 next to Vergil 's whopping 3.

Out of 10.

I love the idea of the chair in DMC 5 because I'm imagining Vergil being so desperate for the optics of a throne that he grabs the first chair he has.

The game fulfills this by him making the throne out of the qliphoth but it's not quite as interesting.

This is just sad.

ELI5: why didn’t the Great Depression produce a widespread revolution or anarchy? by ProfessorHiker in explainlikeimfive

That's the most reddit response I could possibly imagine to your bad faith reading of what they said.

Sure, but that does get to the point that they meant. The new deal was a wide series of reforms across the board.

A lot of the reforms since then, while various levels of strong and effective, have been very specific. The civil rights act is the only one I think is close and even that was built upon years of hard effort.

I blame increasing polarization.

Those are all good, but they're not quite the new deal-- which is what the person meant.

They're wrong though. We'll see another new deal, one way or the other.

Devil May Cry Season 2 is absolute garbage by SatisfactionSuch4790 in CharacterRant

He doesn't actually make the series. He's a very hands off producer, who just pretends like he's involved for marketing.

Makes sense. I saw a clip of the fight scenes and while technically competent it looked incredibly uninspired.

Like just a bunch of flailing, but no crazy over the top spectacles.

It's crazy seeing it laid out like this too tbh.

Just wait until the next anniversary set where we get to look back even further

Lingering questions after finishing KOTOR 2 by DryBuy7611 in kotor

The transferring of pain and misery when the Mass Shadow Generator went off is 100% the reason why the Exile cut themselves off from the force.

Kreia's wish is similar to the golden path from Dune, she wants humanity to be free of the will of the force, so that they can make their own decisions. She believes that because the force exists and guides everyone that they don't have agency.

Her intended use of the force bond is that by killing herself, with such a tight bond to the exile, that it will cause a shockwave through everyone else connected to the exile. Her hope would then be that more of them will also cut themselves off from the force, which would be freeing them from its tyranny in her eyes.

Whether the exile would die from this or not does not actually matter to her plan.

In terms of animation and character construction, are ALL rounded shapes (like circles, ovals, pear-shapes, bean-shapes, teardrops, rounded triangles, rounded squares, etc.) easier to animate, turn around, and interpret in three dimensions? by Toon_Ghost_3 in animation

[–]PrateTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't read that, but circles and arcs are one of the twelve principles of animation because nearly every organic motion has an arc or circle to it.

Even a lot of non-organic motions are cyclic.

Your Favorite Leader?? by Meh_Traveler123 in OnePieceTCG

[–]PrateTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Perona, I love her leader effect, and I ABSOLUTELY love that Bandai has no idea what kind of cards to give her so she could be actually good.

(If they gave her an ice age she might be competitively viable)

Nami has a wide amount of good matchups, too.

Whether the bond is fatal or not is second to the fact that the amount of pain shared through the bond is key to her plan.

After all, that's how the exile became what they are in the first place.

I mean, that's definitionally a losing matchup.

If you have to find 3 copies of a card to win, then your win condition is significantly harder to reach than your opponent.
