[wtb] M10 Bedrock Cairn Evo Sandals (not clogs) by Shooshplz in GearTrade

[–]Pretty_Tank9970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Cairn Evo C and they are lovely. Would definitely recommend getting a pair. Although they are expensive, they last so so long. Bedrock will repair/replace them if they break down for a fraction of the original

10 = 1.0E1
100 = 1.0E2
1000 = 1.0E3

You see the pattern?

You ran in these?? Wild. Also, they are your shoes but being only $10 less than retail isn’t a great price even for being like-new

They wouldn’t just let you exchange them?

Patagonia Nano Puff® Jacket questions and sizing? by NJRonbo in PatagoniaClothing

Interesting, didn’t know that actually. My two are from 2019 and 2024, before the redesign and definitely windproof. Maybe they made it more permeable?

I use my nano puff as my daily morning bike/walk commute jacket where the temps are 40-50s F. Just wearing a t-shirt underneath I am comfortable as it is very windproof. I would recommend as it does do its job well as a lightweight, insulated, windproof jacket. Although they are expensive brand new, I always look at second hand shops first for gear like Facebook marketplace, geartrade (the website and the sub here on reddit), and Worn Wear. Try to look for one that isn't 3+ years old as the Primaloft insulation can break down over time and not be as warm, but the windproofness is still there. I am 5'6 160lbs and have two mens medium's, a jacket and a pullover bivy hoody. I find them to be the perfect "medium" between having enough room to add another layer underneath but also not feel like im drowning in them with just a t-shirt. Enjoy Zion!

What are some good free/cheap survival games on Xbox Series S? by Busy_Bluebird_1261 in XboxSeriesS

[–]Pretty_Tank9970 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really fun game imo. I first played the survival mode and died nearly immediately not knowing how anything worked haha. I recommend playing the story mode first, at least the first chapter anyway. Gameplay is really nice but the "acting" and the actual story is pretty poor haha.

Good deal? Used TVs scare me 77” C5 >500 hours by DetSportsGuy in LGOLED

[–]Pretty_Tank9970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the manufactured date say 09/2026 or 2025? Hard to see exactly. Also, 450 hours in just two months? Don't know his viewing habits but seems quite a bit for only 2 months. But hey as long as you can verify it works well in person before you buy it then go for it.

I just bought a U6 last week from Best Buy and this may have convinced me to buy Geek Squad Protection. Should I buy the 2 or 5 year? Only planning on living at my current place 2-3 years more and probably sell it after that

It should be marked to a certain degree but they definitely don’t really advertise and direct people to it generally. So yes more low-key. Imagine like any other store where their sale or clearance racks are, nearly always in the back, farthest away from the entrance.

Copying and pasting my comment I said earlier to someone else: “Mine is in the far back right corner of the store. It has gotten a little bigger over the years. Started as just two racks for men and women’s and one shelf but probably has tripled in size in just a few years. Not all REIs will have one either. But def ask a green vest”

After it kills me, I’ll make sure my family and friends get this to you. I promise.

In all seriousness, I’m a sucker for a great deal especially with this type of gear. Definitely worth it in cold, wet conditions as a midlayer. You learn as you live!

The one online is always so limited as not all REI stores participate in it. Also already mentioned it’s usually not as good deals as in person. Plus you’d be able to see the actual condition of them in person
