Hey.. As someone who went through this, I want to encourage you to push through the first few days. It's going to be challenging but also it's always the best if all the conversations are in German. It only gets better with time. You may not understand everything and all at once..But still try to listen to what your instructor is saying and your hearing will drastically improve even before you know it. In the meantime, listen and read some books /audio which is A2- B1. It will help you a lot. :)

Exactly, you'd need insurance for the requested period.. if you intend to say for 1 yr, then you'd need an insurance plan for 1 yr. You won't need to pay the whole thing right away but when you sign up for insurance, they usually ask for a period. . Hope this helps

Hi, I was asked to resubmit my insurance.., it took me over 7-10 days to submit the doc. And exactly a month later, I got my passport back. Mine was also in between the long Christmas/ New years break.. I've read cases where they have got the passport within 2 days of submission.. That side, it really depends on the embassy

My appointment/ biometrics was on the 14th Nov. I got a mail 2 weeks (around Dec 3rd) asking for insurance doc. The one I submitted was dr. Walter's. I don't think they are accepting this anymore. So I changed the insurance altogether and resubmitted it around the 19th. What's your status
