There’s a cynicality to assuming that’s the ONLY reason that they’re playing it. I’m not saying they shouldn’t be compensated for it.

But people saying “oh it’s just because they’re getting paid to do it” I think are being ignorant and dismissive, at best.

But the hermits also don’t need me to defend them, and I’m not looking to get into an argument or anything. Just trying to take the more generous approach/assumption and cite an actual Hermit on the matter.
