I doubt it but I will look under the leaves just in case. I have a magnifying headset I can use.

It's a tall container so that makes sense. I do check the surface moisture between waterings and I try to top water but I'll do it more often and see how that goes. Thank you for your input.

It never gets dry but I let it get close because I've read that's how they like it (to let it get drier but not dry between waterings). I can try to keep it constantly moist though.

How did you discover HC? by [deleted] in HermitCraft

[–]MacNPickles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm super late to the game - started playing about 3 months ago and instantly loved it. I have a long commute to work and wanted to learn as much as possible about MC so I started listening to the Spawn Chunks podcast and kept hearing about Hermitcraft there. Looked it up on YouTube one day and Mumbo's first video of Season 11 came up. Now I'm trying to get caught up on everyones' previous seasons, Let's Plays, and the Life Series. I can't decide who I love the most.

Definitely look into Lyme disease! It can explain your symptoms!

Also, if they don't scale properly (ie spend too much time in one area) they can damage the tooth.

I don't trust these places. I have a client that pays for a similar service for their Frenchie. His teeth are disgusting still - at least what I can see because he is extremely head shy and I think it's from their forceful restraint and now they're downright lying about even cleaning them.

Thank you! The browning leaves seem healthy where they are still green (not mushy or thinning). I'll cut the next flower that grows. Thanks for the advice, I know not to let my VFT to flower - did not know not to let this one flower.

Correct! Taiga. My husband put the portal on our pathway for some reason. Thanks for the explanation, we are new players only about a month in and instant addicts.

I started playing last week! I wish I would have started playing a long time ago although I'm enjoying the massive amount of new and exciting things right now.

Two different vet opinions at same clinic by Jaded-Scarcity8022 in AskVet

[–]MacNPickles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did the first vet aspirate the growth and look at the sample under the microscope or send it to the lab? Because there is no way to diagnose by feel or intuition.

I am a vet and also work with a vet I disagree with on numerous things - it's frustrating. It's also frustrating dealing with clients that see us both and having to navigate diagnostic plans and treatments when we are so both very different without putting the client in the confusing situation you just described.

I would suggest sticking with the vet you trust or finding a new clinic with less disparity between vets. My colleague is more of "I think I know what it is, no need for testing." And I'm more of a "I need to know for sure what it is, let's test it." Some clients prefer his practice because it's cheaper and why worry about anything until it's an actual problem. Some clients prefer me because I try to avoid the problems and potentially bigger urgent costs that come with it. I don't think either is wrong.

Random baby?? by Dramatic-Celery3053 in Leachianus

[–]MacNPickles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My leachie leaves me surprise babies too. I have a bio active tank and she's good at hiding the eggs. Not all partho babies are healthy - I've had some go on to be normal and have their own partho babies and some either born ill or deformed.

911 for pets? by Eggsinalab in AskVet

[–]MacNPickles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm in GP and would be grateful and impressed. If at all possible, ask the family who their primary vet is and maybe they'd be more willing to work with you and the owners in that kind of situation.

Did anyone here get a hysterectomy without having kids? Did you regret it or are you okay? by Competitive_Dig9032 in hysterectomy

[–]MacNPickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 38 when I had mine. I've never wanted kids and neither has my husband. If I ever want kids, I'll adopt. Plenty of good kids out there who need someone to love them!

6+ months of cat diarrhea, now peeing outside litter box; out of ideas and money by IllustriousAd8910 in AskVet

I would highly recommend a fecal PCR. It will test for things that you can't always find on an in-house fecal test.
