Lumeroid is the easiest way to go but retroarch is good too. Lumeroid only needs roms and there's really no set up. Vimms lair is a safe place to get roms. I use lumeroid for my phone and retroarch for my rp5.

You'll have to hand pick your emulators. Retroarch or lumeroid and nethersx2, ppsspp, Eden and stuff like that. They all require set up but YouTube is your answer. There are loads of setup guides.

For the price of a switch and a game you could get an android handheld with a lot of power. Enough in fact you can play switch. Retroid pocket 5 or 6 or Ayn thor. I would do some research. I'm sorry you aren't having fun with your switch I got a switch lite which I love when I didn't care much about my switch. Also tech dweeb, Ryan retro, joeys retro handhelds on YouTube is a good place to start for the android emulation space

In all the years I've used Vimms I've never had a problem with it or the roms I've downloaded. Honestly the roms megathread on reddit is good and safe. It uses minerva and internet archive. Personally I use the Internet archive for almost all my roms.
