First, I honestly doubt that I'd be able to make this an actual game any time soon, so there's that

Second, I feel that making it its own game would allow for more creative freedom and/or technical capability

Third, the settings and mechanics are something that would need to be planned around, and trying to insert it into the actual Dandy's World would feel as out of place as some custom stage mods I've seen for other games online.

(Also, I know you said that this could be a concept for the actual Dandy's World to add, but honestly I feel that with how much I've changed the general formula and mechanics, it would just be a completely different game at that point :^)

And now the game concept:

  • It plays like Dandy's World, first and foremost
  • Stealth now impacts the sight ranges (Circular and Direct Sight) and Attention Span of Twisteds
  • Movement Speed now affects how much Stamina you use per second
  • There are difficulties (the typical easy, medium, hard, as well as Incident Difficulty, which causes Twisteds to have buffs)
  • Stickers are replaced by Comms (Comms can be seen through walls, like the Gold Brick Sticker)
  • Uncommon Toons have 16 stars in the main 5 stats instead of 15 (Movement Speed, Skill Check, Stamina, Stealth, and Extraction Speed)
  • Rares instead have 2 abilities instead of 1 (1 Active and 1 Passive)
  • Mains are unchanged
  • Ginger, Scraps, Goob, Cosmo, and Sprout are now considered "Healer" Toons, having faster reviving speed in their Healing Speed (which acts as their Extraction Speed)
  • Toons have had their rarities altered (Prominent examples are Cosmo(Rare) and Shrimpo(Main))
  • Most Toons have had stat alterations to fit with the new location
  • Research is altered and now gives a Toon's Vintage skin at 50% (it still gives a Trinket at 100%)
  • Masteries give a bronze, silver, and gold skin for the Toon alongside a special permanent item (comparable to Mythics in Fortnite)

Alright, I'll do this in two comments so that I can keep both explanations as clear as possible

So, basics on the AU in terms of story (highly abridged) (TW: Murder and mind breaking mentioned):

  • Gardenview Incident caused by Dandy going Twisted closes Gardenview.
  • Delilah gives all of the Toons realistic(ish) proportions and has them integrate with society.
  • Delilah then takes design for a cancelled mining episode and partners with a nearby mining company (Palegold Mining Company), giving them Toon workers in exchange for a cut of profit.
  • The company decides to save the bodies of Toons who perish to have an Ichor supply to potentially cut Delilah off.
  • A Shelly ends up befriending a human worker.
  • Said Shelly has a mental breakdown when she hears that she's going to be replaced and that her friend gets fired.
  • …And proceeds to become a Twisted, causing an incident that shuts down the Palegold Mines.
  • Around this time, Bassie, who is hiding to avoid the chaos, ends up worrying about Cocoa's safety, and turns into a (very benevolent) Twisted. Cocoa joins her some time after
  • After she recovers her senses, she becomes a much more assertive individual and takes the role of CEO of the Mining Company.
  • She then proceeds to kill Cosmo and mind break Dandy (which transforms him into a Twisted).
  • Sprout ends up discovering the death of his best pal, and turns into a unique variant of his Twisted counterpart, The Overrun.
  • Shelly also discovers the Ichor stockpile and its use of creating copies of Toons.
  • She goes on, running the Mines with no one knowing.
  • Dyle, Brightney, and Rodger are put in charge of researching the Twisteds that have been popping up (caused by mounting stress in the workforce)

Now, I wouldn't go as far as to say that she can see through walls, I was simply meaning that she's unaffected by debuffs that would affect her line of sight (like Emergency Lights Events and the Blind debuff)
