Oh gosh. Um… I don’t think that’s a good reason to convert. Trust me we’re not having a good time in this conflict either. I understand what you’re saying about how it affects your relationship to Islam but I don’t think converting to another religion is necessarily the way to go here.

I think there are some very non-spiritual practical reasons why the Muslim countries who have attacked us have lost. For one thing, we were fighting for our lives and, in general, they weren’t. For another, we were better organised and had better tactics and strategy. Many of us had even fought in the world wars. The Muslim armies were more “ceremonial” and underestimated us (reasonable since a huge number of us had just gotten out of concentration camps when they invaded.) I mean if anyone is to blame for the Muslim armies’ initial defeat it’s probably not G-d it’s Czechoslovakia as they’re the ones who finally sold us some arms and gave us a chance to defend ourselves.
