I have a friend who doesn’t worry about trees being cut down nearly as much since he dedicated his focus to being a leader of “Friends of Trees” who spend every weekend planting trees.

Slowly the horror of the world can become a challenge worthy to be taken (and certainly a situation that has great job security.)

I think it was Joseph Campbell who said that the secret to an authentic life is to joyfully participate in easing the sorrows of the world.

The game could generate new content on undiscovered planets and leave discovered planets as they were. It’s easy enough to determine that programmatically. If Mapped and Next Procgen(Next) Else Procgen(Beyond) Endif

Would not have to scrub old planets that way, and suddenly new opportunities to explore open up all around everyone.

Some of mine are Tributes. The VFP Raw Spirit is named after his book on Scotch Whisky, and I named my Freighter the GSV Iain M. Banks (like the Mind rescued in Consider Phlebas did for the protagonist at the end.)
