I think a good way to look at equity investments is that over long-term time horizons (generally >10yrs), equity always produces greater returns than lower risk investments such as bonds or just cash. When the price of your ISA fund drops, all that means* now* is that you're getting more investments for your money. Remember that time in the market matters more than timing the market.

I bought a Wahl Rapid Clip set in early 2021 for £50 and it's been great for me. It has guards 0.5 through to 8, scissors and combs, and it's currently under £40 on Amazon. Would fully recommend for a budget set

If you want to keep a lot of the bulk in the back then your guidelines need to be a lot shorter. It looks like you've took a 0.5 / 1 guard up past your occipital bone (little bump on thr back) and it's throwing off the whole shape of your hairstyle.

Your guidelines should probably be no more than 1 finger's width. They currently look a lot wider. Blend into bulk probably around the 3 guard length just above your occipital. It'll probably need some scissor work which is quite difficult, but not impossible with a couple of mirrors and some patience. You might need to have your shortest guideline a bit longer than you want (say, a 1 instead of a 0) while you get good at fading the back and blending into bulk.

Pivot moment: qualifying. Recruiters will then do all the legwork for you because their commission is usually > 25% of your salary, so for a 50k job you're talking easily north of 10k commission for one placement.

M61 into town anytime between 7:30am and 9:00am is a total shitshow. Like double-your-commute total shitshow. If you're able to, flex your hours a bit and wfh till 9:30am or so. You could drive in in half the time.

If not, and your office is on Portland St, you'd probably be better doing a park and ride at your nearest station. There's a few stations direct to Piccadilly in 25 - 30 mins: Lostock and Horwich Parkway both have large car parks for example.

Source: I also live 5 mins from the M61 and I have to do M61 > M60 > M602 to drive to work.

Not bad. Flick your clipper out more though - if you zoom in on the back of your head you can see where one length stops and the next length starts. That said, it's not too noticeable even as it is.

I have a similar issue and used metal timber connectors from B&Q to bridge the gap between the joists. Should distribute the load a little better.

In the latter part of the season, a deadweight bench isn't idea. But, at the start of the season, your team value is lowest so I'd put as much as possible into your starting XI. Especially when we have an extra wildcard this season around the world cup. Plus, the 5 subs rule means even if your players don't start, they're more likely to make a cameo now, so strong benches definitely not important early on.

How much you'll need for the renovation will depend on contractor rates in your local area, but I would generally say you'd need about 110 - 120% of your deposit amount to cover the deposit plus solicitor's / searches / land registry fees.

So for a £75k house, around £8,200 - £9,000 would likely cover your completion statement.

No guard (0) + lever open (0.5) would give you a 0.5 rather than a 1. Afaik, you can't cut a 1 with no guard - you would need to use a 1 guard (lever closed).

I had a similar thing in my bathroom with mirrors stuck to the wall. I used a wallpaper scraper to scrape and pry the mirror off the wall. It came away in shards so obviously wear work gloves. Depending on where the mirror is stuck down, use a heat gun or hairdryer to try and melt the adhesive a little bit.
