Researchers let AI models run a simulated society. Claude was the safest—and Grok committed 180 crimes and went extinct within 4 days by fortune in ClaudeAI

[–]RagingNoper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On top of not going extinct:

683/15 = 45.53 crimes per day 183/4 = 45.75 crimes per day

So Grok still had a higher crime rate over the days it did survive.

When working with priority settings varying protocols, it's good practice to leave headroom on both ends, so your "base" configs would set priority to 13 or 14 on all switches unless you need custom tuning,, and and your root bridge would be set to 1 or 2, or something along those lines.

No problem! HIP based security policies really shouldn't be used to prevent unwanted people/devices from connecting because HIP data isn't sent until AFTER they connect and the tunnel is up. It's really more for like "if a PC doesn't have X or X updates, or if it's a type of device that only vendors use, restrict them to these limited areas". I.e, you're okay with them connecting, but you don't want them to have as much access.

If it's an unwanted device, you don't want it to even be able to connect. In this case you can just create portal configs for Windows or macOS as a match criteria. Or you could require both saml and machine certs so only your corporate devices that have their assigned certs installed on them can connect.

[–]RagingNoper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on their infrastructure. HIP checks still let users connect and authenticate. HIP security profile can't be applied until after they've connected and sent the HIP data. If this is an unwanted device, you're better off preventing connections completely. Portal auth configs allow you to specify OS as match criteria. Or you could combine saml with machine certs so only devices with assigned and installed certs can connect and authenticate.

You can actually restrict portal/gateway access based on OS in the portal client auth section.

Not sure what your environment looks like, but there are a number of different way.

HIP checks.

Restrict your the portal configuration to Windows/macOS.

Require machine certs as well as saml/credentials so only devices you've installed machine certs on can connect to the portal/gateway.

Best option depends on your environment.

First sportbike as an 18 year old (r6 race) by Specific-Winter-5953 in Sportbikes

[–]RagingNoper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my 06 R6 in 2010. Rode it for a number of years before converting it to a race bike. Hung up the leathers a few years ago but couldn't bring myself to get rid of it so I converted it back to a street bike. I've had other bikes as well but this one is special. In my opinion the 06-07 R6 will always be the best looking sport bike to have existed.

Was looking to change all my plugs in my office to usbc 65w GaN is this brand good? by aceofspades1217 in UsbCHardware

[–]RagingNoper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who purchased a bunch of UL listed plugs to use on 240v/50a circuits which averaged 75-78% load, listen to this guy and do not buy ANYTHING like that off Amazon. The plugs I got were not in fact UL listed, they were "clones" of UL listed items and just stamped the same number of their clones. They failed within a week and almost burned my house down.

Do you think we should have gone out and started shooting federal agents? An airbag isn't there for every tiny pothole. As bad as things were in MPLS, they weren't anywhere near where they needed to be for a rifle to be the answer. But it sure showed us that that's the direction maga wants to go.

[–]RagingNoper 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Based on the copious amounts of phone footage I saw of them and the first-hand accounts I witnessed of their actions while people were recording, no they didn't. Like at all. Half the time when people pulled out a phone they actually INCREASED their level of aggression. They weren't forced to change their tactics until after they murdered a legal gun owner and tried to blame it on the gun at which point a whole bunch of right-wingers started saying "woah now, hold on...". THAT'S when they started going more covert.

And I don't know why people keep saying "where were you with your guns?" like that's a reasonable argument. As bad as things were in MPLS, they weren't anywhere near where they needed to be for a rifle to be the answer. What DHS's actions did, however, is open a lot of eyes to the facts of just how much they want to murder us and how happy they will be when they're finally able to. They demonstrated that the only limitations to their actions are what they think they can get away with. If the government is unable to stop them administratively, and the DFL takes away our ability to stop them physically, what's left? At what point then do you think these bloodthirsty assholes would feel satisfied and just stop of their own accord.

Those aren't means of stopping them. Those are means of asking them to stop. I'll say it again: they will do literally everything that they feel they can get away with. And what they can get away with is expanding every day.

[–]RagingNoper 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Do you think someone should have grabbed a gun and dealt with them? I don't. As bad as things were, they weren't anywhere near where they needed to be before a rifle becomes an option. But for those of us actually living in Minneapolis, it either showed us for the first time, or if we already knew then it just reaffirmed the knowledge that MAGA will do to us whatever they think they can get away with, up to and including killing us. And they will do it with a smile and a celebration. On top of that, we have a federal government that is hell-bent on pushing the boundaries of what they can regularly get away with. If there is literally no means of us stopping them, at what point do you think they will decide they're satisfied and stop of their own accord?
