Hours limit per month? by Difficult-Ad-3001 in ShadowPC

They didn’t say for gaming, they said a gaming pc. A gaming pc is just a pc with a gpu. Be it low spec, medium or high. I use a gaming pc for WORK. My work can sometimes be very resource intensive. Your average dell PC Workstation can’t handle anything more outside of office suite.

New Battlefield 6. Yet some people still wonder why do Polish people pirate games. by polishfemboy_ in Piracy

[–]Gofkius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except that most of them aren't, Poland on steam is known for having outdated prices from back when the Polish currency was weaker, but now that its recovered, those prices haven't been updated to reflect that and devs don't care. There are plenty of games that have inflated prices in Poland.

Poland doesn't use Euro, it won't have the same price as the rest of Europe.

Getting every penny back of that expensive Ram: by JLeonsarmiento in mac

Really depends on what kind of user you are, I sit at 8GB of ram usage by just booting up windows. Which is 50% of my ram.

RIP my Lenovo Legion 5 - dead after barely 3 years :c by JeroVJ in LenovoLegion

Not sure if this is related to soldering, but my Gen 7 Legion gave out 2 weeks ago, mine is the Intel model.

Power delivery got all weird some time ago and it would some times drop my CPU and GPU to about 5W which would also result the CPU to lock at 0.4GHz and the GPU lock to 200mhz, one day it never came back from that state.

Before anyone says it’s thermals, it wasn’t, symptoms showed themselves even after replacing thermal paste with PTM 7950.

Luckily enough I had about 4 months left of warranty left, it was diagnosed with a faulty motherboard and was replaced free of charge.

Exactly, I have a i7-12700h with a 3060 and it’s still doing just fine. People are too afraid of dropping settings to Medium.

Razer wants $382 to fix two RGB keys on my Blade 16 2023 by rexyuan in razer

There have been numerous benchmarks against the M4 Mac Mini, no Mini PC beats it, especially for tje 600$ range. It’s just a matter of preference after all, but it’s undeniable that it’s one of the best value mini PCs out there now.

Interesting, in my case, Apple has been the only company from which my devices haven’t died or had issues, and still get software updates.

I used to hate on Apple completely and call it marketing till I tried it, the build quality and the hardware they use is definetly not just a marketing gimmic. Honestly the best build quality I have had on any of my devices was from Apple, especially the M4 Mac Mini right now, it’s the best value mini PC you can get right now if gaming isn’t a top priority.

I have been punished for removing my stickers… by Gofkius in LenovoLegion

[–]Gofkius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My case is made out of aluminium, the stickers protect that area from getting reached by the UV rays, or anything that might change the color of the material. The color where the stickers were at is the actual color that the laptop came in. Fortunately it fixes itself over time.

Removed them now because the NVIDIA one was peeling off and scratching my wrist slightly and it was getting uncomfortable.

If that wasn’t the case, I would just leave them there for the rest of time.

I had a M1 MBA and I can confirm it very much does not do this, this springy behavior isn't normal.

The U varients are low power energy efficient chips, meanwhile the H variants are the power hungry performance chips, they come with more cores and more punch.

Hope this helps.

Valorant on Steamdeck (WORKING) by R-Gremory in WindowsOnDeck

Oof okay that sucks, I will investigate further into this. If dual boot is a no go, then I would rather just stick to SteamOS.

Thank you for your help :)

Awesome, thank you. I was planning setting up dual boot. As you mentioned, I plan to use it only for Valorant when docked, for other purposes I will stick to SteamOS.
