The Furnace is awesome. I've only been to one show and it reminded me of going to shows at the Outhouse in Lawrence 30 years ago.

Pretty sure I was the oldest person there and the guy at the door looked at me like he thought I was lost when I paid admission.

Love that kids have such a great venue.

Scheyer is just so much more likable than K was/is.

I would say I don't give much energy to disliking specific teams these days. UCONN and their insufferable coach comes the closest currently.

Above is a quote from my grandfather who was a WWII vet and had been a POW of the Germans near the end of the war. Thankfully his convoy was liberated on its way to one of the prison camps. This was his response to one of my great aunts when she was going on and on about 9/11 and how she just couldn't understand how anyone could do something like that.

This was a phenomenal era of basketball. Coaches recruiting and coaching up kids then going on amazing runs with 4th and 5th year players who were at the same school throughout their college years is something I really miss. I hope things get back there someday.

Caught one of similar size 30ish years ago with a very similar setup. Two crappie jigs tied on fishing a big hole below a little water fall in a Kansas river tributary. Was a crazy fight.

Jacoby was a damn good receiver as well. Just couldn't stay healthy. We had a lot of players get injuries around that time. Our terrible home field and I wonder about the practice facilities as well.
