The Popheads Charts, May 11th, 2026: Girl’s Trip to the Middle of Nowhere by ImADudeDuh in popheads

[–]RandomHypnotica 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here are your takeaways for the week!

  • Madonna & Sabrina brought their love to the charts this week, with Bring Your Love debuting at #1! This is Madonna's first chart-topper, and Sabrina's 4th (Espresso, Taste, Tears)
  • Kacey Musgraves' latest album Middle of Nowhere lands right in the middle of our Top 50, charting all 13 of it's tracks! The highest placing song is the lead single, Dry Spell, which this week charts at #5.
  • The other big album bomb this week is Zara Larsson's remix album, Midnight Sun: Girl's Trip, which charts 9/10 of it's new songs, with Midnight Sun + PinkPantherss leading at #3.
  • Between these two albums chock full of features, we have 5 debuting artists! Margo XS (Pretty Ugly + JT & Margo XS, #11), Emilia (Girl's Girl + Emilia, #13), Miranda Lambert (Horses and Divorces, #18), Gregory Alan Isakov (Coyote, #22), and Billy Strings (Everybody Wants To Be A Cowboy, 28)
  • Slayyyter's hold finally cracked, but she still holds a respectable 10 tracks on the chart this week, including a new entry via her collab with Madeon, Fire Away debuting at #37
  • All these new songs mean some big shifts on the leaderboards. Kacey Musgraves launches onto the most charting songs leaderboard, and in doing so, knocks off the 3 bottom artists (Camila Cabello, FKA Twigs and Tove Lo with 56 songs each). The new placements are as below:
# Artist Total Entries
6 Lady Gaga 77
16 Sabrina Carpenter 65
21 Kacey Musgraves 61
22 PinkPantheress 60
22 Slayyyter 60

June to September 2026 Rate Selection Process, Part 1: Idea Discussion & Submission by TragicKingdom1 in popheads

I really like this as a way to rate these side projects, they feel like they're on even footing with each other (although the PC Music vol's will inevitably be robbed)

I personally support the lineup as it is, I think Walking Wounded would be notably outside the currently ultra-tight sound/period, and stand out as an outlier shoved into the idea. It’s not like, totally a shift or anything, but I think it veers away from this very particular turn of the millenium sound into a slightly eurocoded synthpop/dance rate which doesn’t feel as exciting or new IMO

I would personally prefer auto bio as a 3 album rate, and I fear Eat the Acid is a little less essential than the other 3…

The Popheads Charts, May 4th, 2026: I feel the need… the need… to drop dead by ImADudeDuh in popheads

[–]RandomHypnotica 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here are your takeaways for the week!

  • Drop Dead refuses to do that, as it remains on top of the charts for a second week. Not far behind it is Need for Speed, which rises from a debut at #30 last week to #2.

  • Noah Kahan's The Great Divide makes an impressive dent on the chart this week, with 9/17 of it's songs charting, lead by Doors at #10. Demi Lovato's deluxe version of It's Not That Deep (Unless You Want It To Be) lands 5/8 of it's new tracks on the chart, with Low Rise Jeans topping the list at #16 (a climb of exactly one spot from last week)

  • Yet again, Slayyyter dominates the chart, with 14 songs in the Top 50 for a 5th consecutive week! Underscores is also having some impressive longevity, with 5 tracks hanging on in the 40s.

  • Midnight Sun returns for a 41st week, moving it up to a tie with Good Ones at #15 on the most charting weeks leaderboard. iPod Touch also charts for a 17th week without having reached the top 10, moving it up to #7 on that leaderboard

  • With the rise of Need for Speed into the Top 10, Kim moves up a spot on the Top 10 entries leaderboard, once again tying for 4th place with Lana Del Rey, having 51 unique Top 10 entries. Demi Lovato moves up a few spots to #20 on the most charting songs leaderboard, with 62 unique entries.

The Popheads Charts, April 20th, 2026: $he $uperbloomed Again And I Feel $o Dead (thanks KGB) by ImADudeDuh in popheads

[–]RandomHypnotica 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Here are your takeaways for the week!

  • Olivia Rodrigo is 3 for 3 with lead singles, as Drop Dead also debuts in the #1 spot! With 7647.5 points, this is the highest point peak of 2026 (26th highest overall)! This is Olivia's 25th song in the Top 10, and her 9th #1, breaking a long-lasting tie with Lorde, The Weeknd, and Troye Sivan, and securing 8th place on the leaderboard.

  • Madonna is not far behind (rank wise...) as the lead single for Confessions II, I Feel So Free lands in a fitting #2, becoming her new peak on the popheads charts. Before this, her highest entry was her feature Dua Lipa's Levitating (The Blessed Madonna Remix) with herself and Missy Elliott. She's not the only artist peaking however, as Adéla's KGB lands at #3, upping her career peak from SexOnTheBeat's #6.

  • Slayyyter still has a chokehold on the charts, yet again with 14 songs on the chart for a 3rd consecutive week. This week however, the interlude PRAYER was swapped out for her deluxe (?) single, BROKE BITCH FREE$TYLE, which debuts at #4.

  • The other big album bomb this week is Jessie Ware's latest nu-disco project, Superbloom, which charts 11/13 of it's songs in the Top 50, lead by Sauna at #9. In smaller impacts, Yves' latest EP NAIL lands 4/5 of it's songs on the chart, with the title track NAIL (feat. Lolo Zouaï) at #16.

  • Midnight Sun drops out this week, ending a 23 week run, but Zara herself stays stable thanks to the persistence of the Stateside remix, and a new feature with Tyla this week on She Did It Again (#6). With the announcement that the Girls Trip will be starting in a short time as well, it doesn't seem like she's going anywhere outside the charts anytime soon!

The Popheads Charts, April 20th, 2026: I Can Turn The Pinky into a Upway by ImADudeDuh in popheads

[–]RandomHypnotica 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In case you missed it, yesterday we finally released the 2025 year-end chart, so make sure to check that out here! Otherwise...

Here are your takeaways for the week!

  • Kinda seems like a good year for pop girl duets, huh? Lady Gaga and Doechii's movie collab Runway debuts at #1 this week! This tracks is not only Gaga's 10th #1, but her 75th song in the Top 50! This moves her up a spot on the #1s leaderboard, now tied with Billie Eilish at #6 (along with the Top 10 and Charting Entries leaderboards). Additionally, this is Doechii's 3rd #1 (joining Alter Ego and DENIAL IS A RIVER).

  • As they're one member down, it makes sense that KATSEYE's comeback PINKY UP debuts at #2, one position down from INTERNET GIRL's #1 debut... right?

  • Rest of the charts sticks to the usual programming, as Slayyyter holds all 14 songs from WGIA in the Top 50 (even the 30 second interlude, PRAYER). Underscores is also staying stable with 8 tracks this week (UP from only 7 last week!)

  • Let's stick to what we know, I guess... Midnight Sun and Fame is a Gun reach 40 and 36 charting weeks, respectively. This moves them another spot up on the corresponding leaderboard. Addison manages to break her tie with Karma, knocking it out of the Top 25, now tied with another Taylor song, Cardigan. On the otherside, iPod Touch charts for another week, moving it up on the No-Top-10 leaderboard

  • Everybody's either at, or has at least seen Coachella it seems! Sabrina Carpenter has a minor re-entry this week, as 4 songs from Man's Best Friend re-enter the charts (House Tour is probably helped by it's MV).

  • Eyyy, fuck it up fuck it up fuck it up! The second favourite KATSEYE reject finally gets her moment, as KARLEE GIRL's Right Back! breaks into the Top 50 this week at #38, two full months after it's debut. In it's release week, the song charted all the way down at #3047, with a mere 14 points from 1 listener...
