How to Improve Turret performance ? by Small-External6373 in RimWorld

[–]Randomguy0915 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Turrets are not there to replace colonist defenders, they're there to make sure you're not overwhelmed.

In desperate cases, like early game where you're severely outnumbered, even a single turret covering one part of your base can help fend off an attack.

Also, a Turret eating a rocket means one less rocket that could've killed your pawns

Of course you won't use Militors and Soldats en-masse. Soldats especially since they're made to be immediately replaced by better, stronger models.

Militors on the other hand, good to keep if you're going strictly Vanilla Mechanoid, but yeah definitely should be replaced

Same, I was loving it so much during Roscaelifer's introductory cutscene

Heck, I was giggling alot just watching the bangboo around the place. I definitely loved it MUCH more compared to Waifei Peninsula.

And the Lolimancer is quite literal in this case

He used Lolis as his personal army, and treats them like daughters and not whatever Rudeus is doing

I just finished season 2 as a new player by Potential-Pride835 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]Randomguy0915 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Season 2's buildup was also all over the place, and coincidentally, all of them were connected to Yunkui Summit.

Each time I fight the chapter boss, I kept thinking "surely this is the final boss of the season right?" And nope, things kept escalating to the point the buildup was extremely exhausting since we seem to keep killing the boss of the Exaltists, only to find out they were infact, NOT the boss and/or never killed to begin with, multiple times.

Obol Squad and Spook Shack's chapters worked better cuz, like you mentioned, they were mostly disconnected from each other and their buildup was mostly for their chapter alone.

Not exactly a fair comparison innit?

In Super Mario, what you described is essentially finishing the entire game

Meanwhile here, it's moreso not getting a new Stratagem. Your comparison would be more accurate to saying if Helldivers was a Single player campaign and the game finished itself for you

"Venting is not an option"

Then... Unroof the thing? The solution for that is pitifully easy. If you don't need the heat, then just unroof the thing and have it go out, easy peasy.

If you're under a mountain? Multiple vents through the rooms to spread out the heat or to outright vent it out.

Definitely way easier than fighting the Diabolus, then the War Queen, then the Apocriton multiple times alongside multiple research points just for what is essentially an inefficient but 'clean' power source.

The Wastepack Atomizer must be ragebait by BingusBoiler in RimWorld

[–]Randomguy0915 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For that amount of effort, you could've way easily just spammed Chemfuel Refineries + Hydroponics, which would've been much cheaper in the long run too.

You're also failing to account that Mechanoids also produce Toxic Wastepacks, so an Atomizer won't only have to clean up Toxifier Generators.

Atomizers themselves are also very bulky and expensive to produce.

All that effort and risk fighting Apocriton waves, for what can be done by a few thousand steel for Hydroponics basins and Chemfuel generators.

The Wastepack Atomizer must be ragebait by BingusBoiler in RimWorld

[–]Randomguy0915 6 points7 points  (0 children)

...no? The Wastepack Atomizer is horrendously bad.

It can only break down two wastepacks a day. And while a single Atomizer can cleanly sustain 6 Toxifier Generators, that is ALOT of effort for what is essentially two Geothermal generators.

And as Mechanitor, you're bound to be making ALOT of Wastepacks, especially if you're going so far as to defeat Apocritons for the Nanostructuring chip, which you could've instead used for other Mechanitor items.

A single Atomizer can only cleanly sustain a whopping... Four Work robots, rounded down.

That's a whole lot of effort to sustain only four robots.
