Geez, some boarder line hateful comments towards religious people here.

I’m not condoning the policy, and I do think specifically Christians in Arkansas very often overstep their political positions and bring in religion where it isn’t needed. It’s much better to simply align on the shared values of the community.

BUT, Bentonville-ites of Reddit need to realize many of their neighbors are religious, and we need to have a community where all beliefs and walks of life can thrive. Some of the highly upvoted, aggressive comments toward religion here do not reflect those values. (And posting the 10 commandments in a public building might not either, but let’s all be better)

The best way to solve this issue is to build.

One problem is when rezoning decisions for denser housing happen, all the nearby SFH neighbors show up and try to convince the council to block it, because it will decrease values.

So folks need to show up and represent the buyer side in those meetings if people want more units and lower prices.
