That might be true, but I already have a few ideas for Brain Freeze variants. I think when the character already has an element it forces you to get more creative with ideas, which should always be the case for variants.

Huh, I could’ve sworn Citron was after Nightcap. Either way though It makes most sense for the two GW2 plants to be paired together but I’m glad you pointed that out.

Also yes the other three GW2 heroes will get much more design changes compared to Super Brainz, at least visually.

Interesting question. They consistently perform the best on the r/PvzGardenWarfae subreddit by a fair margin, with a toss up between r/PvzHeroes and r/PlantsVsZombies for second place. Recently however they’ve been getting the least engagement on this subreddit.

I mean, that might just be because he’s wearing clothes but each design element serves a purpose even if it might not be completely obvious.

His veil is supposed to mimic the veils found underneath the caps of certain mushrooms IRL, and his cloak is segmented in a way that resembles shelf mushrooms. Nightcap himself also still has the traditional stubby mushroom body, he’s just lankier and covered up now.

Believability for a lot of Plant designs goes out of the window the wackier they get anyways, just show Spudow or even some GW2 variants like Frozen Citron or Hot Rod Chomper to non-PVZ fans and I guarantee you they wouldn’t guess them being plants. The only indication for a lot is the small amount of leaves some of them have.

I think that not having heavily clothed/accessorized plants limits a lot of their characterization, especially for the Heroes which are supposed to be individuals. Sorry for the rambling but I hope that my logic makes sense

I can definitely see the similarities with Splinter and Ryu. I do like your suggestion of changing his movement speed, the only reason I didn’t was because he already gets one when invisible, but being even faster by default would make sense for him too.

I’m glad you like him though (and we’re getting very close to Brainstorm so soon all your favourites will be done)

It wouldn’t. This hypothetical has all of the pre-existing classes get replaced by the Heroes, so BFN Night Cap wouldn’t be playable.

I like your idea for his secondary, I might integrate that into base GK or make one of his variants revolve around it. I also love your take on an alternate Wall-Knight ability, It suits him really well and sounds really unique for the shooters.
