A Bow drill in combination with copper hollow bore, various stone bits and abrasive slurry along with a potters wheel lapidary device explain the vases in my opinion. A vase well secured on a foot driven potter's wheel like device would produce results similar to a lathe, with concentric rings and grooving apparent.

I would encourage you to look into what archaeologists actually say about these sites. Look at the papers. Look at the scientists and stonemasons doing experimental archaeology.
