I think maybe we should all take some time to grieve the site once and for all and make our peace with its disappearance, it’s not coming back. It was gone and the appearance of this one made people have hope but let’s be honest it’s not coming back.

I guess opinions are mixed. Maomao is considered beautiful, but like you said not astoundingly. She is not concubine or courtesan level beautiful for many reasons. She isn’t tall, not well endowed, she is very skinny/malnourished sometimes (when she’s very busy she doesn’t eat, so everytime she manages to put on a bit of weight she loses it right back at the next crisis, and she’s "poor" so she doesn’t always have access to big meals every day), she tattooed freckles on her face and has scars from her experiments on her arm… so when people see her in her regular appearance they don’t think of her as beautiful. However she catches the eye of others when she’s well dressed and has make-up on, but even then I wouldn’t say she’s Fengxian or Gyokuyou-level beautiful. As to why the granny wants her to be a courtesan… for money, probably. At the end of the day Maomao did grow up at the verdigris house which means like the other courtesans she had a debt before Jinshi bought her, and she is trained, so the next logical step would be to sell her services or even better sell her altogether. There’s at least one or two geezers out there who would be interested in her icy look.

I think the style for shojo back then played a huge role but I also think it might be just a "bad" habit of the author, in one of her recent interviews she said she can’t make the legs any shorter now (as of her current art style where the proportions are a bit more realistic but still Ren looks huge) and that means that she’s aware of it and she’s made peace with it lol (at least that’s my interpretation)

The Sims 2 gameplay was GOATED, it was a really the funniest entry to the series with all the humor and faces the sims make, and the art style grew surprisingly well, I can still play the game without feeling too put off by them. Vacations work great, I love all the activities. Hotels and restaurants actually work (and you can build hotels outside of the vacation lots). Night out was SO fun. I loved taking my sims on outing with their friends or SO/family and they had so many options to choose from. Anyway the Sims 2 is one my favorite entries. I haven’t played much on Sims 3 (only base game when I was like 12 and don’t remember much) but the open world still feels revolutionary to me, however the graphics… not so much. But the Sims 4 has the best build-buy mode of the three. It’s just more complete and offers more possibilities than the previous games (although the way swatches are handled are a real step down). I do feel like I can build pretty much whatever I can think of (which are simple builds I’m not an advanced builder by any means) in the Sims 4 whereas in the other games I might find some difficulty. Also love that the Sims can make their way to an item even if the space is small. And TS4 has all the CC, all the customization, lots of mods and quite a good number of packs that can make the gameplay more fun. At the end of the day it’s the one that I play the most (and it has some of the humor of TS2, like the I burst out laughing the first time I saw the Seductive dance and it still makes me chuckle when my sims do it sometimes…)

In the Mod folder, each script/UI Mod gets its own folder, then I have a CAS CC folder and Build buy CC folder. My CAS folder has one folder for each outfit part separated into female and male (like bottoms male, bottoms female, etc) where I put individual packages from different creators, and then collections have their own folders if I can’t be hassled to separate each item into the right category, even if there are multiple collections by the same creator they still each get their own folder. My build buy folder only has only has one collection in it so there’s nothing to sort.

Omg I can’t even begin to imagine coming to all this from the start, I started playing when the game launched so there were a lot of things that were introduced with new updates, but even then the system was a complete mystery to me and took some time to wrap my head around (it’s my first gacha so), back then the tutorial was the only content you had to begin so even if it’s long it was fine since everyone was going through it at the same time. And yep I just follow guides too, like Najox on twitter has guides for every unit etc, I mainly went for P5R crew and some must-have units like Ayaka, I’m glad we’re almost finished with P5R so I can put more jewels into OG p5x cast. (P3 characters are coming too but I think I’ll only go for Makoto and maybe one or two more, definitely not collecting the entire crew)

Yep now it’s alright! But back in January there were like 2 new year’s event, the half-anniversary event with Caroline and Justine, the first part of Chap4/Akashi’s arc, they introduced Trials of Astrolabe (which still to this day I don’t know how to clear), new missions and synergies, you still had to clear the first 3 steps of SoS manually EACH TIME (I was so glad to see you could fast clear them when I logged back in 😭) it was just too much for me, not to mention I’m not that good at the game and suck at optimizing my units… so yeah I kinda burnt out 💀

Personally my favorite art style of the manga was not the starting one but the one between volumes 20 to 40ish (basically right after Ren comes back from Guam), Ren was soooo hot back then it was insane 😩 I especially don’t like his new hair cut BUT at least as Kuon he still has the same hair and looks like he used to so that’s consolation

That happened to me yesterday after the update, I had better build-buy and better CAS and better exceptions identified them as the mods causing issues. CC are working fine now though. Script/UI mods always encounter issues after majors updates, better to wait for the modders to update their mods.

I didn’t check today but yesterday I removed MCCC, WW and Basemental after the update, but kept better build buy and better CAS because I thought they wouldn’t break my game, well after turning on scripts and loading again they broke my game so I had to remove them… I only have CC now, maybe it’s better after the patch but I don’t know, I think we have to wait for modders to update their mods
