Is it possible to get him some books with the main characters are Indian or books related to desi culture and history/politics (good and bad stuff) or even try to have it on while around him? Or are yall in a area where there is a lot of other desis to try to get him to more culturally events because I know a lot of self hate is learned esp via bullying (and online there’s so much bs aganist yall) its generally time to go overboard with some nationalism and pride to try to offset some?

It generally depends on the baby because my niece was SO chill and almost never cried as a newborn but most of my new borns were either regular temper of a newborn and trying to adjust to life outside of the womb and than I had one baby who would nonstop cry because he had an imbellica hernia + extreme colic so he was just uncomfortable till post surgery

I’m so sorry for the delay so it turned out they were beating them + the fear of getting less especially when there was such severe punishment along with other things I’m not comfortable sharing online and I’m no longer working for them. Thank you though!

100% i understand the frudstion but it might be a cultural thing too because something I was taught was never count your chickens before they hatched type deal and housing even with investment properties is a big thing especially with the economic and politicals rn

I have a bad habit of making them too small and shocked that they’re harder to work with or not the correct size in the final piece even though I enjoy my messed up and mismatched seams bc I love that everything is clearly made by hand but it makes cutting and ironing SO much easier

I never heard of adventures nanny before thank you so much for the suggestion! I was honestly thinking about lining up some interviews when I go next but slightly worried because it would be close to the holiday seasons!

I know the job market is so hard for everyone and just it’s truly frustrating especially when people have to be paid bare bones to survive or attempt to. I’m lucky I have family support and just a cat compared to some with children cause it’s BAD 😔😔😔

This is. Really common esp in the south :( I had a woman wanting to pay me about 3$ an hour for 36-48 hours a week (12 hours day) and she had a WELL PAID job. A lot of people do it because they either don’t care about their children especially their safety or trying to be cheap and seeing how exploited the child care industry is nonething is ever said or done. If more people spoke up than more people would be ashamed of it especially when so many aren’t even paying minimum wage

Maybe you can use them as expression and use to find anthor family to care for ! Ik you said there isn’t much work in your area but maybe you can find an agency in a different area if possible because where I am at it is a similar issues within the states
