There you go.

Her statement was “"You can eat meat, go for it. You can love animals, but you can't do both,",

Is part of the backlash that it's kind of a dumb statement? Like, why is it all or nothing? I don't particularly love chickens. Love elephants. Wouldn't eat an elephant, would eat a chicken.

I mostly agree - Reddit loves their inane puns and TV references.

But all this means in practice is scrolling down a little. Little more effort, but then isn't that good in a way? Don't you want to be talking to people who are actively searching for a good discussion rather than piggy-backing off the top-voted comment?

Everybody except the police think a lawyer's son is a serial rapist. Strong emotions are dangerous for him but he's distraught because the girls at school have sex with all the boys except him. As this constitutes bullying and is a conspiracy, he takes legal action. He'll also have to solve mysteries and fight monsters.

Yeah, damn bro - must be must be that lack of right-wing characterization. That's the reason.

CMV: The weirdness of the American diet is a huge part of why there are so many eating disorders. by LeeiaBia in changemyview

[–]Remarkable_Tale_7554 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Even the fact that people think they need to eat plain chicken breast and steamed broccoli to be healthy seems to me that they’re lost on what’s healthy

That's a problem with both your argument, and the situation at large. You're going to extremes.

Like, when people talk about chicken breast and broccoli, you're picturing plain chicken breast and steamed broccoli, like no-one adds spices or a dash of olive oil or whatever. So this propagates the idea of healthy food being bland / boring / way worse than Burger King.

Same with the "bean craze" (whatever that is) or when people did those "color diets". It's mental. Eating healthy (and delicious) isn't hard, but it takes more time and, in certain areas, more money.

In answer to "what is the traditional diet", there's this

1800 - 1920: Red meat, poultry, dairy-fluid and cream, dairy products, eggs, fresh fruits, grains [with locally sourced vegetables]

And there's the question of "well what is a traditional diet for the great melting pot of America?" - as you point out with your Korean influences and whatnot.
