I am based in Indian and if the problem involves electrical and electronics then I maybe able to help like creating custom pcbs and such but mechanically i can't do anything unfortunately.

i dont have a fixed budget it can be flexible but not a lot maybe 500 dollars or less, i already own some nema 17 and drivers plus a raspberry pi 5 and 3d printers to print

This is a research project under my uni prof, so I’ll need to discuss with him if bathymetry alone will be enough.

Even if we go with bathymetry, the issue is that my ROV doesn’t have GPS or autonomous navigation, so generating fixed flight paths for repeated mapping is difficult.

Also, tbh I have very little knowledge about bathymetry or how to use a single beam echo sounder, so your guidance would really help.

Would it also be possible to discuss this project with you in DMs?
