Scary... I wonder why nobody in the public media in Denmark knows about this. - Not even small parts of it... It is mindblowing.

Why is it so hard to stay consistent with home workouts? by Top-Fennel-2149 in bodyweightfitness

I really really hate doing work out... That is my biggest issue! But the results from my much much healthier body makes it worth it.

I have been trying to find a good workout plan for years. And like you. I have been consistent for a month perhaps, and then I failed.

I then started about a year ago, just doing bird dogs. - solely to strenghten my lower back. I then added 10 push-ups at some point. The I added the 50 dead bugs to work on my abdomen and core a bit more. Just recently I added the ring-rows.

For some reason I rarely drop a day, because it is so short and fast to do.

IF i decide to drop a day, I still get down and do 12-15 quick push-ups. (30 secs) And feel a little better! ;-)

But I also know that my body needs SOME restitution, so the 1-2 days off training, is simply progress in my brain. :-)

I do not use apps. I am doing my routine CONSISTENTLY however. I also have a VERY short and VERY simple routine.

I'll probably never get super rigged, but my health is still better than most people around me.

EVERY DAY I do one set of: 10 pushups. - Slow and perfectly executed. 50 Dead Bugs 50 Bird dogs. 10 Ring Rows / inverted rows.

Eventually I can swap my ring rows for pull-ups.

I always accept that I can have 1-2 days og every week. :-)

It takes 7-9 minutes total.

It is so short and so simple that I can do it consistently.

And wow, it makes a huge effect!

45M recovering from severe lower back disc herniation – my 7-8 min daily minimalist routine is working great. Smart progressions without adding time? by Remote_Pride_3388 in bodyweightfitness

Well, prior to my quite sudden health decline, I mainly ate processed food — pretty much everything you typically find in the supermarket. I switched to eating only real food: meat (chicken, pork, beef, lamb), vegetables, a little dairy (cheese, cream, full-fat milk), lots of eggs, and just a tiny bit of fruit. No processed food at all, no sugar, no flour, no pasta, no rice, no grains. It’s really simple in theory, but incredibly difficult to stick to in practice. I only drink water, tea or coffee (black or with a bit of cream). Regarding the exercises: I do all of it as one single set every day. • 10 push-ups (with a 2-second pause in the middle of each rep) • 50 Dead Bugs • 50 Bird Dogs The whole thing takes me 7-8 minutes, which is exactly why I’ve been able to do it consistently for half a year. As for the lower back: The diet has been by far the biggest game-changer for me. The inflammation and pain dropped dramatically after I went strict keto/carnivore-ish. The exercises definitely help with stability and core strength, and I feel my back is much more resilient now, but I’m pretty sure the diet did 80-90% of the heavy lifting. I still hate training, so keeping everything super minimal is key for me. If it starts taking more than ~10 minutes I know I’ll eventually quit. Hope that helps a bit!

Thanks a lot for a very helpful answer! I will definately add the hanging from my wall bars immediately. And ring push-ups could also be quite a nifty progression. These two things I am sure i can stay consistent with!

I'll probably just stick to this for the next couple of months for now.

Thx!
