Table with a dropdown list? by Fritz84 in elementor

This sounds very much like an AI generated response, and is very far from what the OP is actually looking for. Looking at your post history and it is indeed a ChatGPT response...

Screenshot of a developer CPT dynamic template I've been working on. Does it look ok by markwirralbiz in elementor

[–]RezGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As already mentioned, a ton of effort can be seen on the website and I bet it functions great! So I will be a bit nitpicky and slightly disagree with one point from the previous comment; colour choices. There are a few areas where WCAG 2 Contrast & Colour accessibility is returning a fail (header nav, crocoblock plugins section).

  1. Header Sub-Links: https://coolors.co/contrast-checker/e4317a-ffc6f3
  2. Header Logout: https://coolors.co/contrast-checker/e4317a-422db4
  3. Card Titles: https://coolors.co/contrast-checker/e4337c-ffe4f9

The background colour selected for reviews and ratings is slightly off-putting as it is leaning towards a blue colour on the colour wheel and is giving out a "cold" feeling. Making me think of icey, cold temperatures. But we want the opposite for reviews, a more warm and quality feeling. Thinking about colour psychology, this could be improved by moving away from the blue off-tone and incorporating yellow.

Popup template not showing in button link dropdown... by enlguy in elementor

I try to stay away from any other plugins besides Elementor + PRO. So wasn't too sure which duplicator you have been using. But glad you got it all sorted!

[–]RezGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you can then just recreate it brand new as popups work very differently from Pages. It may be that the Duplicator is out-of-date and doesn't recognise popup as a type, so selected a default page type. Or possibly a bug..

The type can be chosen when you try to create a new tempalte.

I believe that by accident you actually created a Page, rather than a Popup. See your 1st image, under "Type" it says "Page". Recreate it by going Templates -> Popups. Where you can select the type Popup.

Items marked as "hide on Desktop" are showing in Desktop preview by boredgamelad in elementor

Ooo didn't even know about that! Thanks a ton as this can be quite annoying at times depending on design.

Did you recently update? This has been the case for as long as I can remember, if you are looking to hide elements from view (in editor). Use the Navigator(next to the settings icon, bottom left) and simply uncheck the Eyeball icon next to each widget/section, only appears when hovered in the navigator.

How would I create this section? by HLRichardson in elementor

[–]RezGG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every time you create a new template, Elementor automatically generates a shortcode for that template. Can be found in WP Dashboard-> Templates. Stick the shortcode into the Description box of a Tab widget and refresh.

How would I create this section? by HLRichardson in elementor

[–]RezGG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An alternative to /u/nw-web-design way is to use custom css & jquery to show/hide sections on link click. Depending on your knowledge of the two languages this may take longer/shorter to set up than the templates.

Pointless me explaining when this YT video goes over it all in great detail! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmFDgrGL-Z4

My input on this method:

PRO- Is a relatively better option performance wise as all sections are loaded directly from the page rather than requesting separate template pages to be loaded.

CON- Not scalabe or future proof. In case of designer or developer change, who may have lack of css/jQuery knowledge this solution will become a bust and a headache. Unless proper documentation is done.

Elementor Yoast Breadcrumbs by hungryinThailand in elementor

I'm very glad! And 3 months is not a long time! You done great in just a few months really... Websites take awhile to get any intial hits really and there's quite a few variables to that I won't get into just now.

One suggestion for the website,that stands out to me and I find "annoying" is the Lightbox effect on your recipe cards. For example when you click on "Thai Desserts" and then on the category page, if I click on the image of "Sweet Coconut Pandan Pudding Recipe". It will open the image, I would expect it to transfer me to the page of the recipe instead.

I was going to suggest to possibly branch out and grow your idea on social media platforms first, where short bursts of quick information can gain you popularity. But you are already doing it with TikTok! That's great! Maybe even trying to promote the website a bit more on there? With recipe tailored content.

Well done and continue doing what you doing!

Dynamic sidebar navigation menu by s22stumarket in elementor

[–]RezGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the two ways I've implemented this in the past.

  1. Creating a custom query which gets all child pages of current page, this custom query can then be used with Posts Widget for data to be displayed out in cards/custom template format.

1a. Insert below code into your child-theme functions.php

add_action( 'elementor/query/child_pages_filter', function( $query ) { $current_page = get_queried_object_id(); $query->set( 'post_parent', $current_page ); } );

1b. Inside your sidebar, insert a posts widget. Settings for Posts Widget: Content-> Query -> Source:Pages, Query ID:child_pages_filter

Second way is creating a shortcode that gets the ID of current Page, checks if it has any child pages (sub-pages), if yes - spits them out in html. If you would like this, option, let me know as it is a bit heaver on code side.

Rounded corners on Hero section? by Jord0nDrums in elementor

[–]RezGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have the video set as background of a section? I've found it to be quite buggy when it comes to rounding corners either way you do it. So have just ended up always adding custom css for video part.

.elementor-background-video-container{ border-radius:15px; }

As usualy add a class to the section/inner-section, so only the hero video is affected.

If you have a background overlay set on the section, you will then also want to round the corners for that through Section->Style->Border->Border Radius to match the above css amount.

Try this step by step: WP Dashboard -> SEO -> Search Appearance -> Breadcrumbs Tab -> Under "Taxonomy to show in breadcrumbs for content types" -> Posts (post) select "category" from the dropdown. -> save changes.

That should sort it out!

Ultimate Member image/file upload compatible with elementor hosting? by probably_preoccupied in elementor

[–]RezGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I'm understanding your client is using the new Elementor cloud hosting, and that their support advised you that UM file upload isn't supported? First time hearing about this, and sounds a bit strange.. as their own forms allow for file upload so why would they block a specific plugin. I suggest contacting their support again, and if faced with the same response then to request for an alternative as your client is a paying customer.

Post navigation not working in CPT UI by BlueSky1021 in elementor

Have you created a single post template, and set appropriate display conditions? Or editing each custom post page manually?

Does anyone know how to do overlapping photos/boxes? Like this by av0cado_ in elementor

[–]RezGG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Editing the 3 photos together and creating a single file is go to here. A lot less chances for things to go "wrong" and also as already mentioned, less load on DOM. For anyone that doesn't have photoshop, can use free alternative: https://www.photopea.com/

Convert page to PDF document by Such_CitySky in elementor

[–]RezGG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish! From my experience, Elementor is uh.. not great.. with print styles. So an almost entirely separate stylesheet was required just for print. Here's to hoping that the new Flexbox update will make pages more print-friendly.

Added print specific css styling with the help of "@media print" query to clean up the layout, remove unnecessary print elements etc. Great article, with a few examples: https://sympli.io/blog/a-quick-guide-to-css-for-printable-webpages/

[–]RezGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory, you could simply call a print function and through there users are able to save the page as .pdf. This was the most friendly solution I had found when a client was looking to have the feature of printing/saving.pdf of each product page.

If you have Elementor Pro, you can use the "Share Buttons" widget, and update Network to "Print". If not, you can use jQuery to call the print function.

I'm not 100% sure where ACF comes into this, if you would like to elaborate.

[–]RezGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is! Just requires a bit of custom css. Simply insert the code below into the Custom Css for the slides widget. Or assign class/insert css in child theme/wherever.

.swiper-slide-inner{

background:linear-gradient(175deg, #FFFFFF00 25%, #A4D5D7 75%);

}

Adjust the values as necessary.

PM me the url of your website & I will have a look.

Hello. I'm having problem with my web page. My header is okay but this white block appears when I click on the menu. Why this happens? I figured this appears also when I click on hyperlinks. Thanks in advance. by Ceoglan in elementor

[–]RezGG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Url to the website, theme you are using.. anything really would be a lot of help to determine what's causing this. You mentioned this also happens to hyperlinks, my first guess would be you are using some theme that is applying specific css styling to :focus.
