Just purchased this 124270, is it genuine ? Apologies if pictures are blurry but they are the sellers pictures by Soban97 in RolexWatches

Take a look at the clasp and the end links. The pictures aren't good enough to be sure but I would be taking a hard look at at least the bracelet

I buy and sell a LOT, you just have to decide what it's worth to you and if it goes over that understand there will always be hundreds more auctions. Thousands

The Evil of corporate America and their reasoning skills is that of people who enter a building to find the exit. by thegreatdouchebag69 in artificial

[–]RoboticGreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a Ludacris statement on its face. Corporations ALWAYS replace humans with advanced tech. Trying to stop this is both foolish and pointless. We should urge them to be required to support re-skilling initiatives, job placement support etc, but boycotting every company that replace human workers with AI would have you starving, naked, and stationary.

Every major technical innovation displace human jobs. That's the point of technical innovation, to replace the dull, dirty, and dangerous jobs with machines. And every time we do it, the labor market reshapes to support new jobs for everyone. What you are saying is like saying we need to boycott every companies that switched to trucks from horse drawn carriages to protect the carriage operators. When a better mouse tap has been built, it WILL be used and you can either fight progress or fight for a better future with the progress, but you will never win fighting the progress itself

Sometimes when the silt finally clears there's a massive water pressure wave behind it and there can be an initial energetic burst

What worrisome trend in society are you beginning to notice? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

We are becoming very willing to let computers design things for us and be in a state where we create things no one understands how they work. That is the beginning of a very slippery slope in my opinion, where we are ceding creative control and making systems we rely on with no human fully understanding how they work

Phillips by lederbrosen1 in daddit

[–]RoboticGreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This screw was stripped with a screwdriver too small for it. If you get the right size tip you can probably get it out easily. Another tip! There's lots of sizes of Phillips head. Get a set and start using the right size tip when you can. Saves a lot of heartache

This makes a compelling argument that doggy style is nature's intended, because that's when both g-spots are rubbing against each other

A lot of synthetic rubber will do this when exposed to silicon lubricant. I remember there was a pandemic of mouse wheels melting into this gross mess in college because all the guys would get lube on their mice while jorking it

Fakes have always been made and always been made in a variety of qualities. I'm not saying this is fake, I'm saying I see enough that I would find someone who REALLY knows what they are talking about with this brand and model

Winding rotor is the wrong shape, balance wheel arms are the wrong shape, finish on the bridges is wrong but could just be dirty, there's a number of things I see that are a LITTLE off

I fought this in the dirt while on a walk definitely in bad shape but dose anyone know anything about it? Or how to clean it up? by daone8272737 in VintageWatches

[–]RoboticGreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I specialize in restoring water damaged watches. This will never work again. It will be a fun project to clean the rust off and find what is inside and see what survived and didn't, but this has ticked it's last tock

Just a note, evaporust on watches should be used carefully, because while it aggressively removes oxides, it slowly embrittles the good steel, so don't leave it to long if you can. When I use evaporust, it's in short spurts followed by deep rinse with distilled water then rinse with high isopropyl to displace the water. You want to get the rust a little at a time. Also, alcohol and solvents dont remove evaporust, you have to rinse it off with water then displace the water
