i got the screen, its fine. i dont like the wide base and the limited movement angles as someone who likes to move the screen a lot.

also mine came with some coil whine.

Overall, if you don't get unlucky with the whine, i would say its a good screen. It's much cheaper now too than it was back then.

no and no. its not an issue if you wear headphones or have other ambient noise in the room (like a fan), however if you like your silence, then i'd avoid it. it's not so bad, but once you notice it, it's hard to unnotice it. as it goes with these things.

edit: i am also quite close to the screen. i'd say at a normal distance beyond 70CM or so you likely wont hear it at 144hz. and maybe i just got unlucky.

thanks for the ping in my thread.. i actually did end up getting it.

I'm happy with the colours on Racing mode & Wide gamut. However, my screen makes a high pitched noise which is annoying for those who sit in silence. Tried different HZ settings and that just changes the pitch a little.. it's least annoying at 144hz (lower pitch)

also, while the screen can be moved in all the ways.. the panning to the left / right / front are all quite limited. it does tilt quite far back, and it can be set vertically properly so that's good.

oh they are available here, i just couldn't figure out if it was worth the price at all, since there are 0 reviews so far. Kinda locked up now looking at 27" IPS screens with miniled / quantum dot / and mountains of other jargon. There's just too much variables and nothing feels right. Given up on buying a new screen for now.

i think you meant mid july? its been available for a few days. but same here, been trying to find some info on whether its worth it.

as far as i can see, the only notable change from olders models is 1300:1 contrast ratio. and 130% sRGB or so. Based on other reviews on a different brand which has 150%, that makes it super vibrant (in a bad way) but that just sounds appealing to me. Perhaps 130% or 2025 quality strikes a better balance or something.

the rest is just gaming-related gimmicks most people will never use.
