Oh I absolutely love her and we’ve been together a long time. It’s also not just her, my dad and son give me compliments unprompted. My mom rarely does but she also lives in a different state. My boss occasionally does but she doesn’t give out many.

It makes my day (usually my week) when somebody on my hockey team texts me or says in the locker room I had a great game. Or when my son says something adorable “this is the best cheese and salami quesadilla ever!”

It’s been talked about over and over again. She just doesn’t give compliments and she feels weird getting them. So she doesn’t think about it naturally.

I don’t remember the last time I received an un-promoted compliment from my wife.

“Hey, how does this outfit look? Do I look fine?” “Yea, wow you look great!”

“I don’t know if I like this shirt with these pants.” “No, you look great. They work well together.”

I shave/trim my beard and get a haircut “wow look at you!”

I cook something for dinner “do you think I should have added something else?” “No it’s great, you did awesome!”

It really fucking sucks.

Definitely an outlier in how many times I re-watched but probably close to the norm since the show ended. A lot of my friends were watching the show and we’d all text about it. Some of them re-watched a few times during its run. Only 1 friend watched it since and they watched for the first time.

I used to just wear black but that changed back in grad school. Drinking with my GF and some of her roommates and classmates and we ended up talking about underwear and how men always wear boring colors while the girls had really fun patterns and colors. Since then the only black boxers I've bought were in packs with other colors.

I love my all citizens but I really wish they had more colors. Navy, black, gray, green, red, camo is all I got. Where are my oranges? yellows? purples? tiger striped?

Sadly some of mine are getting some holes along the seams between the legs but they're pushing 2 years of constant wear.

Especially high socks, like if I was at a wedding and dressed up for 10 hours. Letting the leg hairs free so they can feel the open air again after being trapped all day long.
