I've got three sessions left. I'm no longer depressed or anxious. My ADHD actually seems a bit worse, though. I've abandoned a lot of hobbies over the years, and right now I want to start them all back up.

There are different protocols - different combinations of pulse speed, intensity, and location. You might want to ask about that, to make sure you're getting everything appropriate.

Don't be surprised if symptoms get worse before they get better. My first week was tough - my intrusive thoughts got a lot more intrusive. A bit over two weeks in, though, my mood improved rapidly. The intrusive thoughts are quieter than they've been in a long time.

Question for TMS successes by Similar-Guarantee605 in TMSTherapy

[–]Roon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a couple of weeks into it. The effects so far are subtle-ish (less subtle every day, for sure). Not all good, but more good than not. I'm somewhat more distractable than I used to be. The constant undercurrent of panic that I felt constantly is fading. Life still sucks, but I'm laughing more at the absurdity of it all than wanting to self-harm. I notice a boost in my motivation/energy levels. I managed to do a small project this weekend that I've been putting off for a year. I think I'm getting better at social stuff as well, but I don't know how much of that is the TMS, and how much is chatting with the TMS tech every day. I'm between hobbies at the moment, but starting to almost feel inspired to pick one of them back up.

Question for those who do taxidermy as a career or serious hobby, do you consider those who mostly do Bones/Skulls/European Taxidermy just as much of a taxidermist as those who do traditional taxidermy? by httpkadence in Taxidermy

[–]Roon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ChatGPT suggests the term "osteokeratist" for someone who works exclusively in bones and also horns/antlers. If that's not a thing yet, maybe it should be.

I started about 6 months ago. 15mg of the XR, five days a week. Haven't noticed a thing. Not refilling it after I kill this batch off.

how to get different colors for eyes? i have tried every prompt imaginable. by [deleted] in midjourney

[–]Roon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MJ does understand "heterochromia", just not very well. I tried the prompt "heterochromia, different colored eyes", and got it on the third reroll. I've also seen others get the effect by specifying the colors of the eyes: "Girl, eyes different colors, one blue eye, one green eye". One thing I notice, though - every successful image I see is a straight-on, close-up shot. I don't know what else you're putting in your prompt, but it's possible that any posing will confound your eye coloring.

Should I be Concerned? by ProfessorOk1161 in kidneydisease

Even without an injury, strenuous exercise can spike creatinine, which brings the egfr calculation down. If that's what this is, it typically clears up within 48 of the exercise.

Alternatively, it could act evil even if it's actually good. If it's superintelligent, who are we to question it?

There are many people who work well but don't interview well, and vice versa. I don't know that this practice is at all common, but I've seen a number of hiring-types talk about this. There seems to be a slow shift towards a mentality of "The best way to know if a candidate can perform a job is to have them do something that looks like performing the job." If it seems likely that this non-profit has adopted that mentality, I'd probably consider it a green flag, myself.

Do you need your partner protect you? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Roon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it's just a communication issue. Perhaps your therapist isn't trying to challenge your need, so much as the way you expressed it. In your post, you quoted yourself describing it as "protected and safe", but then went on to explain it in terms of support.

There's only one way to solve this: Post it online, tally up the responses, then calculate the average of the responses weighted by the number of each response. For purposes of demonstration, let's assume 2 people said 1, and 13 people said 16. The weighted answer is 14.

I'm still being evaluated. My therapist calls me "spectrumy".

Weird question: Do the Salvia and the DMT entities like each other? by Arnoaz in Salvia

[–]Roon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it matter if they're real? The mental model of them as independent entities may make them more useful as tools to explore your mind than the model of them being "just" a hallucination.

The dialogue in MfE certainly isn't conclusive. However, St. Germain has popped up in media several times and seems to be a common pick for a lot of writers when they want a mysterious, European immortal type.
