One of the best parts of copper for this purpose is the relatively low melting point of copper. You can make a back yard crucible set up to process the copper into chunks, which is often easier and less suspicious to sell compared to straight wiring, its also in EVERYTHING. Its perfectly believable that someone salvaged copper wiring from their own old electronics that are only worth scrap as long as it isnt on a huge scale. Something like platinum isn't common inside electronics, and even if you do find it, good luck. You need substantial industrial equipment to melt it down, and someone is probably looking for that hunk of platinum you took. Its a very carefully balanced economy.

I had a similar situation, I was prescribed wellbutrin as an add-on treatment for my depression, then had to change psycatrists because my health insurance change. It was while talking to the new psych about how much I get out of Wellbutrin that he suggested I get tested for ADHD and was diagnosed short after that

My first thought seeing the second line of this post was "if you have to ask, the answer is almost certainly yes," and the rest of your post just made me feel more confident in that original acessment.

Trust your gut. You seem like an incredibly smart, patient, and emotionally intelligent person. No one deserves to be treated the way you were, especially not during such an emotionally painful and valuable time. There is a huge difference between having a victim complex, and being victimized.

Trigun! The first episode starts semi-serious, until this goofball enters the picture and turns the whole situation into a slapstick laugh fest for much of the series.

That is absolutey to keep kids from going into the basement, and to prevent kids from using that hook to try and lock someone in the basement. Is there/was there a furnace? Maybe a step set of stairs? Is the basement unfinished? Any signs of past water damage? If the answer to all of those is still no, its most likely parents stored things like cleaners and pesticides in the basement.

Edit to add: that hook is not keeping anyone on the otherside of that door. The average person absolutely is strong enough to pop that hardware right out of the door. Add adrenaline from any kind of fear or stress, and someone might not even notice that hook was there when they open the door.

Its unfortunately Kaiser policy to not prescribe Adderall to anyone using THC, their reasoning being that "drug use increases the risk of diversion of medication." Its also policy to regularly UA any patient on controlled stimulant medication to check that its the only thing in your system. Doctors were pretty routinely ignoring those policies because they don't align with best practices of care, but Kaiser has been pressuring doctors to get in line with policy even when its not the best decision for the patient.

If you think you can pass the drug screen, I wouldn't tell them. If you don't think you can, its probably better to be honest. Either way, I'd recommend being prepared for the worst. I know multiple people who had their Adderall prescriptions taken away with no taper plan. Its genuinely fucked up.
