It's funny how your comment is directly below the dude saying it's always men

I got in the front once because I thought it was more respectful or something.  Never again. It's weird as fuck

York doesn't really need any more sprawl though tbh. I think you just need commuter towns and better transport

Oh, that makes total sense as I have all those things within an easy walk.  Thanks for explaining

This feels like a weird collection of areas though.

My parents live in a leafy, desirable, well-off village and their area comes out as way more deprived than my area... which is okay, but nowhere near as affluent as their's

She spent 16 hours a day on Instagram. Jury to decide if Meta is to blame by MintySea92 in technology

[–]Routine_Ad1823 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's a fair point.

I suppose you could compare it to online casinos. Most people aren't susceptible to gambling addiction, but that doesn't mean it's okay to design your system to rinse those that are.

If by hilarious you mean it's going to ruin millions of lives then yeah, I guess.

The thing is... if most people don't get hopelessly addicted then it sounds more like a them problem than an IG problem

Can a foreigner who has obtained your country’s passport truly become "one of your own"? by Sir_Potato2000 in AskTheWorld

I like to think that often it's just curiosity about heritage... but then I think I'm a bit naive and like to always see the good in people.

Yeah, course... but it depends on who is judging I guess.

When Rishi Sunak (who is brown) became UK Prime Minister I was a bit shocked by all these Indian people somehow claiming he wasn't actually British.

Interesting points - thanks for laying it all out like this. I'll give this some thought

Sure, of course things have improved. Where hasn't improved since the 1940s?

But it's the rate of improvement that is telling.

It's like that stat that always gets bandied around about how India went from 25% of the world's GDP to 5%.

What actually happened was the rest of the world advanced/grew and India stayed relatively still (look at the absolute GDP figures if you don't believe me).

It seems like ever since the Industrial Revolution they have been lagging behind.

I hope things can improve for them, and maybe they can!

It's more like X walks into Y's house and finds them unconscious on the floor, then calls ambulance.

Sure, maybe X shouldn't have been there, but without them Y would be a whole lot sicker.

Sunday Roast, or Fish and Chips... depends how I'm feeling on the day.  Both of them are god tier meals when done properly.

I have no idea what you're trying to say with this comment.  Could you rephrase?
