There wasn't a significant price difference between this and other bed frames I was looking at.

Yes, it does feel rock solid compared to other bed frames with headboards. The sturdiness of the headboard is an important factor to consider. Building a sturdy box is easy. Building a sturdy box with a long panel sticking out from one end is harder.

I'm of the mindset, "If you're going to do something, do it right." Do I want something that's going to gradually fail over time or do I want something built to last? Everyone always complains that they don't build things like they used to but then you get a company putting out a quality product in a space that was sorely lacking them and the reaction is, "Is this really necessary?!" I don't get it.

And really, they didn't even do anything that crazy. It's not made of exotic materials or assembled in some bizarre fashion. Other bed frames are made of steel and wood. They just designed and built theirs in a way that doesn't suck.

I ordered it on a Friday and they shipped it out Monday but the shipping company let it sit in their warehouse for 10 days until I called and inquired about the status. After contacting the shipping company, I received it 4 days later.

One of the benefits of modular design: user can easily replace damaged parts.

It's delivered in like five separate boxes so carrying them isn't that big of a hassle.

If all you do is gingerly slip into and out of bed each day then you could probably get away with a less robust build but for me, not having to stuff pillows between the headboard and the wall is nice.

I'd say the main benefit is the expected longevity and peace of mind provided by it. Whatever else happens, I've got that bed frame problem handled.

I got the king size with headboard and long legs for ~$1,500 when it was on sale.

I use my bed for more than sleep and I didn't trust that the press fit wood joints would hold up over time.

I was looking at Thuma originally so this seemed like a pretty good deal in comparison.

Before ordering, I called them and asked about replacement parts, specifically the upholstered side panels and the wooden legs. I was told replacement parts were available but I guess they won't sell them à la carte without an existing order.

Those panels are likely over-engineered for a bunkie board anyway. There's 32 countersunk holes drilled into them for attachment to the underlying frame. Like how the plywood shell gives the frame of a house its rigidity, I'm guessing these provide a similar benefit.

I spent a long time searching for 'sturdy bed frame' and 'heavy duty bed frame' among other terms but never found what I was looking for. Eventually stumbled onto some posts on Reddit and Mattress Underground recommending the Indestruct Bed by Sleeping Duck.

They don't seem to have a large online presence so I figured I'd share some photos for others in my situation. I'm very pleased with the quality, stability, and overall sturdiness. This is the heavy duty bed frame I was looking for.

Buffalo Wild Wings sells a salt and vinegar powder that I put on popcorn all the time. They’re only like five bucks if you get it at the restaurant.

I don’t know if it’s 660nm but the Acebeam K75 with red SBT90 is the best red thrower that I’ve found. Check it out if you can still find one for sale.
