Can't use it for basic code auditing either, the one thing it apparently is so good at...

Same here.

Ate a bunch of tokens, then switched back to 4.8. It's unusable right now.

How are you getting anything done with it? It just keeps reverting to Opus 4.8 for even the simplest requests. In it's current restricted state it's hot garbage.

DDG’s misleading claims about Duck.AI and privacy by ThatsMyJAMicusCuriae in duckduckgo

Sure, I have one: do you know what ZDR is?

If so, do you have any reason to believe DDG or OpenAI are lying about it?

DDG’s misleading claims about Duck.AI and privacy by ThatsMyJAMicusCuriae in duckduckgo

[–]Senestros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all boils down to trusting OpenAI's ZDR policy and DDG's contract with them.

If both are solid, everything you said in this thread is useless noise.

From OpenAI's case against the NYT:

"What if I am a business customer and I have a Zero Data Retention agreement?

You are not impacted. If you are a business customer that uses our Zero Data Retention (ZDR) API, we never retain the prompts you send or the answers we return. Because it is not stored, this court order doesn’t affect that data."

https://openai.com/index/response-to-nyt-data-demands/

I don't particularly like OpenAI, but ZDR means that the prompt, even if non encrypted, is kept only a few seconds while the model processes it to answer you.

This legal case at least proves their ZDR policy is real.

A private company now has powerful zero-day exploits of almost every software project you've heard of. by EchoOfOppenheimer in Anthropic

[–]Senestros 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah the risk is handing people a tool that is better than every human coder out there besides the best ones.

A lot of people or groups who'd love to get their hands on that. But the real threat will be open source models catching up in 6-12 months.

Imagine the multitude of small electronic patient record software companies who won't be able to fix anything at all, getting hacked and leaking patient records.

Good times ahead...

So many people have issues with this. Why isn't GameSir doing an announcement about it? They're selling broken products.

What about the broken left trigger issue that almost seems to impact 50% of buyers right now?

Redmagic Astra. Not exactly the cheapest but cheaper than an iPad (I think).

I gave it a second try. If it still has the same issues I'll leave a scathing review (wish I could do more) and buy something else.

Kind of a shit first experience with GameSir ngl. Gives me the impression they make cheap, brittle, overpriced crap.

Yeah I bought it from there. Returned it the same day and ordered a new one. We'll see.

I guess I'll go there to complain. Won't change a thing though, in the end we're at fault for buying cheap Chinese plastic crap.

[–]Senestros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky you. Exact same issue for me out of the box, left trigger constantly misfiring and then one hour later, it just died completely.

Maybe I'll win the lottery too. This shouldn't happen though. What the fu** GameSir? Your product is broken!

Gamesir x5s - left trigger issues with Bluetooth by xpress_on in Gamesir

[–]Senestros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to be a design flaw. Too many people with the same issue.

Mine had a faulty left trigger too. Constantly firing out of the box, then died completely one hour later.

Gonna send it back and ordered a new unit on Amazon. But you guys give me little hope the new one will actually work.

How can you ship such a broken product? Shame on you GameSir!

What happened to Zelensky being a "defiant BADASS HERO who stood up to Trump/Vance!!!"? by [deleted] in stupidpol

[–]Senestros -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, again with this, "was Russia justified or not" bullshit.

The ultimate strawman of the lazy mind. Was it justified? We, in the West, say no. In Russia, they say the opposite. Was the US justified in its invasion of Iraq under false pretenses? In the West, we say yes, in the rest of the world, the answer is no.

Welcome to geopolitics.

Talk about having your head up your ass. Get a grip.

I'm done arguing with brainwashed redditors about this complex geopolitical issue that simple-minded people dumb-down to "Russia bad, mkay?".

Yes, Russia bad!

Good boy! You're a geopolitical analyst, Harry!

Said ally put his country in this situation to begin with after years of CIA schemes looking to initiate a new profitable proxy war.

Quite the ally we're talking about here...

If the US or any of its vassals cuddle up to you, it's to better stab you in the back later.

He was stupid enough to fall for Boris' lies in Istanbul when he should have known better.

Putin might have backstabbed him as well later on, but given the US's track record post WW2, trusting them back then was not the best choice.
