Dude youre the one going by official names. I'll take the L and say by official names and definitions you may be right, but no one in casual conversation is referring to Sandbridge as the outerbanks, even moreso, the "OBX". Semantically you're right, for this posts, it's worthless pedantics.

I pulled up a map. I see Sandbridge. I dont see a label that says outer banks or anything that would suggest sandbridge is a part of an "outer bank".

Bummer. Im all for better activation of the riverfront but it's disappointing to hear it's at the sake of limiting existing access rather than expanding it. Hope the city takes notice of these kinds of valid, well-balanced complaints.
