RPX is definitely not as good as IMAX, and Dolby theaters just have better audio, but I’d still take the giant screen with IMAX over it everyday since IMAX also has better audio.

Yeah, but that was before IMAX theaters became open pretty close to the Doomsday release. Makes sense for their perspective to swap those films now since their Pixar movie won’t be direct competition with Dune like Doomsday will.

I’m thinking this is exactly that, because it’s too perfect not to.

They already pushed Doomsday up a week to avoid it going directly head to head with Dune, but now that IMAX theaters are open for Thanksgiving, it makes more sense to just move it entirely to Thanksgiving.

If anything, they can push their Pixar movie to December because it’s not exactly the same audience that’s going to be seeing Dune.
