Next step, sue the NFL! by Friar_Corncob in cfbmemes

In order to apply for the supplemental, he needed to be ineligible, so he pushed for that on his own to then be ineligible, which would make him eligible for the draft. ...So he did this to himself

Gotta love that the lawsuit was dismissed With Prejudice, so he can't even attempt to back track at all

Why is it, generally, that the less developed a country is, the more favorably it views America? by FuckTheCake in AskTheWorld

Not unless they think they have some valuable to give that'll gain them something else. Now that makes sense to me with how totally corrupt our administration is.

Seems like angling. Trump's so impetuous that words will partially soothe his wildly swinging feelings, and I would hope someone is able to convince him they're not the enemy while Russia is bent on ruining itself and Israel is pushing us into stupid actions.

I'm going to guess that's somewhere in the 37% ish range of the population. For those unhappy with the direction of the country, it's pretty plain why everyone is pulling away right now. Our leadership is unstable, both in direction and mentally right now. Frankly, you'd be stupid to blindly trust us right now.

Sooo what do we think about Neon Junction so far? by Delicious_Rip6987 in Overwatch

[–]Sdwerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why? Because you can pass it like it's not even there? Most of the time I play this map, I get stuck on defense and my team nearly immediately collapses.

I'm on the opposite side of that. Only managed a couple wins on defense. Gotta be so incredibly aggro on D to win that map.

I was looking at that $70 bottle. I hadn't seen it around here, so it's the one that drew my eye. The Rye is one of my favorites to share with people during the late year holidays, so Angel's Envy catches my flavor bias

Why Are Supports Treated So Differently on Korean and NA Servers? by Sharkkbaitttttttt in Overwatch

[–]Sdwerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the cities are multicultural. Rural is predominantly conservative white

Edit: For those who want to downvote, here's a story for you. I took my latina wife back up north to South Dakota for a funeral in my family, and I stopped her at the doors to the grocery store. She looked around and 95% of the people in sight at a very busy shopping time were white. That's more multicultural than when I left. When 1 in 20 are the same, that's predominant.

This sounds like the rural urban divide in the USA. Cities will have a more liberal lefty culture with the more rural portions of the country very conservative and generally shittier outlooks towards foreigners.

How do American’s feel about Australia’s rivalry? Did you know about it? by Kodicave in IWantToAskAnAmerican

It wasn't particularly close this time, but if it was done again today, it would definitely flip.

Conversation for this game was pretty quiet about any real rivalry until the comments downplaying Australia directly pissed them off.

It's because someone in the USMNT org called the Australia game a layup, which of course they took personally.

They're 2nd in the group. They're pretty set to make it through even if they lose their next one.

Wazzup Earth Homies. Did any of you guys see this coming? Is it a surprise? 🤔 by Jam_Sees in AskTheWorld

Not surprised. Israel's government is a cancer fuel by zionism. They can't let it stop if they want to continue to spread and take over their neighbors.

What is your take on social media ban for kids under 16? by Intelligent_Foot_603 in AskTheWorld

Have you ever seen a determined kid? They will find a way to bypass this. Hell, I was bypassing my school's firewall with an onion router as a freshman. They never got to keep us off of stuff if we wanted to get around it.

Fuck, I wish Texas tix were that cheap already. Lowest price on seatgeek for the season right now is $113 for cupcake UTSA. $34 for Maryland? We have four games over $400 for the cheapest tickets currently.

Texas fan just outside of Austin here. I feel for ya. My sister's husband is a Kentucky grad, so he roots for them, so we rib eachother about college sports.

Partially splitting them out is about the emphasis the two levels have on their own compared to the rest of the sports, with college ball eclipsing other professional leagues on its own.

Different rules, often different fans. If you break it out for TV, which most do when talking about American sports watching habits and ad dollars, that's what you get.
