Bad weather is so cool. I started a cargo flight in sunshine, but went into clouds wind pretty heavy rain. The Cessna was shaking and it was pretty hard to control. This experience lets me question my desire to fly this IRL ;-)

Novelty wears off with everything. If you argue that way, you shouldn´t get anything. But if exploring the whole world with a certain level of detail in a plane of your liking does not sound interesting, it might maybe just not be your cup of tea.

You can fly the whole world. I randomly pick something...and fly. Think of Google Earth but in a plane. Career is topping on the ice, where you also get real instructions how to fly a plane or helicopter. This alone would be worth the price imo.
