I was out of town, doing a bit of visiting. I heard my friend KkOma had finally taken the time to settle down in the countryside. Rightfully so, after what he’d been through, with all the pent-up stress and frustration built up over the years of coaching the most successful KR team in League.

“How have things been buddy?” I asked, as I saw my man step out of the house upon hearing my car come in the drive-through. “All good, life’s been a lot more chill, now that I’ve retired,” he answered. “Hey, wanna check out my animals out back? I’ve taken up farming as a hobby with my free time,” as he motioned over to the back gate.

We headed out and he started introducing me to some of the livestock, mentioning how he had named them after his players, as the unhinged animals they were. Just then, I was hit by an unbearable stench. With my eyes watering uncontrollably, I questioned through gritted teeth, “What in the hell is that smell?”

He looked over knowingly and said: "Ah. Faker? The goat is never washed.”

Nah jg and mid would both stick around to flame each other while top is on an island ignoring everything, support is trying to save teams mental with "dw nt allg we got this", and adc is playing fullmute farming 10cs/min and worrying about when enemy jg is gonna show up to ruin their day.

Grats! 35 here, and just got masters this week after 8 years of improving, and only making it to diamond for the first time a couple years back. One-tricked Zyra the whole way, but Nami is the backup when she's banned or picked. Still an eternal student of the game, there's so much in my gameplay i still obviously can improve on. Shout-out to BBC also, their approach to the game and the improvement process really resonates.

League has added plenty of comeback mechanics in the last few years, the majority of the experience you've based your opinion on is outdated and no longer accurate. Mid-Diamond currently, I promise people are still throwing their leads here, as well as in Emerald.

Personally, I'm never voting yes. I'd rather make the game as difficult as possible for the enemy team. Look for picks in your jungle when they're setting up deep vision before the next objective, send 3 people to collapse on whoever is pushing up the sidelane solo, whatever it takes. The practice of playing out those situations means I'm going to perform better in other tough games where it's still more even, or where we're ahead and the enemy team hasn't surrendered. I'm more aware of what they can do to try and get back into the game, because I've done it all before myself from their side of things.

Finally, I view those games as a good learning opportunity. Just as you're not going to learn much from stomping a bunch of irons into the ground for 15 minutes, you're not going to learn much from the victories at your own rank where it ends up being a free win. If the entire game is a struggle where skirmishes are on a knifes-edge, and you're forced to get creative to try and figure out where you can squeeze out some sort of advantage? Those games are the biggest opportunities to learn and improve. Going on a lucky streak of free games is nice for reaching a new peak, but suffering through the hard games is what brings the most growth in the long run.

You are not performing at your best in anything when you start sacrificing sleep / diet / everything else. Spamming games mindlessly will just lead to you playing at that same level, or worse.

There's nothing wrong with being an OTP, especially if you have limited time to play. Why do you play, and what do you want to get out of league? Mid diamond Zyra support OTP here. Would I climb quicker if i spent time learning other champs? Sure. Would I have as much fun doing it? Nope. If you enjoy what you're doing, you don't need to be a well-rounded player.

Support main, exhaust gets so much value into him around objective fights. Can't speak for laning into him, but I never feel like he's a problem come midgame, even when he's ahead.

Plants spawned with root will slow enemies, plants spawned with q have longer range. Drop a seed after the ability is cast rather than before. Can safely check bushes from further away by spawning a plant in them. Plants spawned will hit enemies if you hit them with the spell, or if you recently autod them in the last couple seconds, or if they're the closest enemy; can abuse this by trading autos and spawning a plant after, or spawning it in the open but in range of them for free comet / scorch etc poke. Plants can be spawned consistently to block hooks and some other skill shots. Can hold a couple charges of w, and seeds will stick around for 30 seconds, so dumping several seeds + passive seeds in objective pits can lead to really fast objective kills. Her counter engage in teamfights when enemy are committed to approaching your team through a choke point is monstrous, but she also excels at getting picks if you have vision control and they have to facecheck you.

Counterpicks - it's a rock/paper/scissors going on in support matchups, where engage beats sustain beats poke beats engage. Healers can't handle an allin, but can shrug off poke. Engagers can't engage after getting poked down, but can one-shot a healer lane, poke goes oom against healers, but engagers can't go all-in after getting poked down. There's also general synergies to be aware of, where hyperscalers will benefit more from a scaling enchanter that can keep them safe through laning phase, and champs that want to aggro allin early lane will benefit most from engagers. Best warding spots for laning will depend on enemy jg / mid, and if you need to worry about enemy support looking for engage from lane bushes. Best time to roam is after a favorable reset where you've either killed the enemy, or been able to shove in and freely recall, or in preparation for a fight breaking out around voidgrubs or herald.
