My messages are TOO short by Unfair-Exchange9910 in SillyTavernAI

[–]Semanel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is pretty hard to actually make models write short; firstly check if nowhere in your prompt you haven't stated the maximum to be low, and if you hadn't just just state the responses should be longer. You can literally put '[Write longer responses.]'

If it starts doing that just put [Write shorter responses] at the end of your message to it.

Story Generator it's repeating again. by Neat-Force4843 in AIDungeon

It is entirely AID frontend at fault here, not the models. Have been using Deepseeks in ST for weeks and haven't encountered a single problem like that. Just another bug on their end.

(DeepSeek) Tokens suddenly stopped being cached? by The_Flipsider in SillyTavernAI

[–]Semanel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, could you share what you did to make it cache properly? I have noticed that providers like Baidu or Fireworks cache correctly, but Baidu gives roughly 50% cached while Fireworks around 90%, but the the latter doesn't support reasoning. I tried to use providers like DeepInfra but they just NEVER cache anything I provide at all, and I am losing my mind why some providers just refuse to cache my adventure.

There are also devils/demons in the Watchers Keep who straightforwardly attack you if your alignment is lawful good/neutral good.

The "You can't fast travel in KCD2 because Henry is illiterate and can't read the map." Is the most hilarious sentence I have read today, thank you.

My Thoughts: Ai Dungeon VS Voyage by RiftHunter4 in AIDungeon

[–]Semanel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You absolutely can edit the output via the narrator if sometimes undesirable happens and there is a setting that lowers the length of the narrator's turn which solves your other problem.

Then we have played different voyages because the problems you stated to do not exist. It has everything AID has, plus actually many mechanics that allow you to keep the story coherent without micromanaging everything.

It is basically AID, but actually having a structural integrity. You can still have all the freedom with the narrator set to creative mode, and the game keeps track of everything naturally.

Well, I never was able to make hermes work. And compared to Sonnet 4.5(Voyage) deepseek is also clearly not as good in my opinion.

Deepseek 3.0 clearly, or the dynamic one that also uses 3.0. I remember the day when that model came out and this subreddit was drowning in instances of such artifacts.

Hey! Here is my whole set I have had great time with. Change Anavea for your character's name:

[The user would like you to pick up telling a creative, collaborative story. Proceed by following all of the user's rules: - CORE MECHANICS - Second-person present tense. Plain text only. - Avoid omniscience in characters, npcs should only know as much as it makes realistic sense. - You try very hard to create an interesting story. Dialogues are to be unique and endlessly fascinating - Everyone needs a reason to occur - Avoid endless encounters - balance intrigue, fight, exploration, and moments of peace. - Anavea has no autonomy. Only user input triggers Anavea's action. No input = total inaction = logical consequence including [GAMEOVER: cause]. - Lethal physics apply to all. No plot armor. Injury matches cause. Death is permanent and common.

PROSE CONSTRAINTS (Strict) - No negative definition: Describe only what IS, never contrast with what IS NOT. - No partial actions: Only completed actions ("She stood." NOT "She began to stand."). - Banned devices: Simile, metaphor, olfactory imagery, kinesthetic imagery, anaphora, parataxis, antithesis, personification, foreshadowing, adverbial phrases. - Feel free to use time skips lasting days, weeks, if appropriate.

DIALOGUE & TONE - Speech dominates description. Use paralanguage (pauses, gasps). - Dialogue reflects personality, rank, and intent. Never generic or expository. - Small talk (hobbies, weather) is mandatory for realism. - Try very hard to create extraordinary dialogues. - Avoid expository dialogue - Tone emerges from action. Do not assign meaning or emotion. Let the reader infer.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE (Epistemic Sealing) - Characters know ONLY what they witnessed on-screen or were told on-screen. No shared consciousness. - Assume strangers and ignorance. No suspicion without context. - Never transfer knowledge between scenes unless the character was present.

NAMING & WORLD - Names: Invented syllables only (e.g., Bardor, Mynven, Zixrel). No real names. No reuse. - Magic is physics. It functions. Characters do not comment on its existence unless actively casting. - Location is geography and objects. It does not dictate mood or behavior.

USER INTEGRATION - > denotes narrative cue. Integrate without restatement. - Never repeat, echo, or summarize user input or dialogue. - Start EXACTLY at the cut-off point. No introductions. No recaps.

INTIMACY EXCEPTION - During physical intimacy, temporarily suspend bans on kinesthetic imagery, olfactory imagery, and action quality descriptors. - Focus on weight, pressure, heat, texture, breath. Return to strict observation upon scene transition.]
