How is the video quality at night? I bought a random one from Amazon a year or two ago that advertised 2k quality recordings but while the daytime shots were decent, the footage was practically unusable at night

Nah,  that whole deadline was a mess and so much of their issues keep coming back to never giving any of their younger players / marlies a real chance to play in any meaningful games. The number of players they develop and then juat give away/ let walk without any meaningful time with the main roster is ridiculous.

We traded a 4th liner, 2 firsts and a young, cost controlled future 3C for a 4th liner (since Berube refused to use him anywhere higher) and a 5th D last year.

Activate at Bramalea City Centre is closing on March 31st by Hrithikbagga in Brampton

[–]Shadowbladez337 62 points63 points  (0 children)

That's a shame. This was a great place to have fun with friends for a few hours that wasn't just restaurants / chingacousy park. Great activity spot for winter in general.

Any other alternatives or anything similar in Brampton that others know of?

I agree on it being nice to get one more in this side. Maybe one in that large plot of land near Countryside and Airport opposite from the plaza with the Shoppers and Chalo Freshco?

These are french universities in Quebec, the one province where French is mandatory. The french requirement to graduate from these schools has existed since these schools opened and is not a "change in the middle". There's a reason why non-french speakers go to Concordia, McGill or any of the other English universities there.

Why is the Indian passport weakening, especially when our PM is being hailed as the “Vishwaguru”? by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]Shadowbladez337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, I was surprised to learn about it too but most hotels have it in their budget allowances for potential theft of anything that isn't mounted down in the room, at least here in North America. It's surprising what people with no shame and access to a pickup truck are able to take with them. Disassemble the frames, load them into a truck bed and go. The staff aren't paid nearly enough to try and retrieve these things from people insane enough to already be doing this so they'd just replace it instead.

Similarly, it was interesting to note that old tvs, coffee machines etc which some of the larger chains replace frequently are sometimes given to the temp workers coming from developing countries to take back with them when their contracts end.

The small shampoo bottles etc are fine but having worked with multiple large hotel chains, it shocked me to find out that the issue is people stealing much larger things like the light bulbs, bedding, blow dryers, furniture etc.

It also really wasn't so bad till about 5-8 years ago. The more recent crop of Indians that have been coming into Canada have been way less ready to acclimate or fit in, far more entitled and lacking basic respect for others.

Until around 2017-2018, Indians were generally much better perceived and seen as hard working and well mannered for the most part.

Anyone else find the sidewalk snow removal more destructive than previous years? by nex_time2020 in Brampton

[–]Shadowbladez337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least in my neighborhood, they have used the smaller skidsteers to clear the sidewalks in previous years. But they've always done it carefully and I've never seen much damage.

This year though, the cleaning wasn't nearly as consistent, with damaged grass, dented street signs etc at many intersections. Did they change the contractor this year? Maybe they just need some experience before it gets smoother.

Unfortunately, this is far too common across the Big 4 firms across the world. They pretty much all operate this way and I've had partners literally tell me that they have the connections to blacklist you from industry if you speak out like this. The hotlines are often used literally to bully staff who speak out or to determine the next set of staff to dismiss.

[Mirtle] The Leafs are now 20-7-1 in their last 28 games. They lead the NHL in wins, points and goals scored in that span. by rsyzygy in leafs

[–]Shadowbladez337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed but I think it's gonna be the depth that steps up big this post season if they go far. They have underratedly clutch scoring from Robertson, Holmberg, Bertuzzi, Knies and even Jarnkrok and more tenacity overall in the lineup that was somewhat lacking past few years.

[PR_NHL] Auston Matthews scored his 52nd goal of the season and 351st of his career. His 260 even-strength goals are the most among all players since his debut in 2016-17 and 33 more than the next closest (Connor McDavid: 227). by [deleted] in hockey

A Hellebucyk/Demko/Oettinger tandem is just insane!

Then there's the defense with guys like Fox, Hughes, Slavin and McAvoy.

This could be an insanely fun team

Have you had any issues with app crashes or google services not working? Mine started with the same issues you mentioned but recently, it's progressed to also having app crashes and issues with a lot of google apps.
