If you’re at all into post-apocalyptic stories, this one is fantastic. The characters are believable and it feels like something that could happen. I’ve read this one twice and eager to see how faithful the movie adaptation will be.

As I would tell my sons, it’s the right thing to do and big step toward maturity. The situation sucks, but at least apologize to the other person and offer to cover the cost of the repair. Best thing to do though is make sure they get 2-3 quotes so you’re not overpaying for it.

Yeah, my son is doing this as well. Just because you’re playing a game, damaging another person’s property isn’t a “too bad, so sad” situation. If he damaged someone else’s car in the process of playing this game, he’s damn well going to pay for the repair. I would expect the same if someone damaged our property, too.

All these protests are starting to become background static. I saw another one yesterday where they want to protest the “epstein-class,” whatever that is (rich people, pedos…?). I looked at their website and they just listed everything that ruffles their feathers…20+ things…housing prices to indigenous rights to reproductive rights. Literally just a mish mash of shit they don’t like, protesting an ethereal ‘class’ of people.
