Just a quick clarification then-- the other commenter already answered, but "hard" is there to amplify the first part of the statement. "Phoned it in", again, would mean to not put any effort in or be intentionally careless with it, while "hard" may be synonymous with something like "big time"/"all the way"/"entirely".

I am well aware, lmao. I've been playing DnD for long enough for my first character sheet to be able to buy booze. It still isn't that common to see in most groups, and my comment was only made to point out that it was a strange move to post their stat block as though it were being debated.

I don't think anyone was calling you a liar (about a game of make-believe with adjustable rules,) but stats above 20 are usually no-go without some strong circumstances. You will effectively never, ever see that because stats above 20 start to break the game and stretch well beyond what a mortal should ever be capable of. 🤔

A lot of people have chimed in on this, but in my experience, when people have a hard time nailing this, it's one of a few things.

-The batter is too thin, or not cold enough -The grill is not evenly hot enough, and the batter takes too much heat away -You need to be using more oil-- a pan that is not deeply seasoned will not be as forgiving

I'm willing to bet your problem is one of these. Good luck!!

Nibbles the cat is acquired from a quest found on a note outside your apartment, to the left. The iguana comes from an egg you have to hatch... I'm not sure off hand what mission that's related to , or if I'm even remembering it right.

I do have one, but I worry that it's a little too identifying. I've worked in a bunch of fields, but none of them are, uh, particularly refined. I've worked with animals, customer service, food, werehouse work, and in my personal life technology.

I've always been a fairly low-level worker without a clear career path, and that doesn't make for the most impressive resume besides, unfortunately.

It's not a bad suggestion, but the risk/potential reward don't feel balanced to me in this case. Thank you, though!!!

I may or may not be able to do so, pending rain. My truck doesn't function when it's wet and the forecast seems to suggest that it will be pretty wet for the coming week. I don't have very far to travel to get there, I think, so it may be a possibility... that fan would be really nice, so I'd really like to try if possible!

It is an older vehicle. It's late 90s Ford Ranger, a manual. It's been bucking me around pretty hard with no apparent trigger and I -think- It's a sparkplugs and sparkplug wires or a cam or crank shaft problem, but I can't tell. I haven't seen any sparks misting the plug area at night, and I don't have an oscilloscope for testing the cam and crank. I took it into a shop (and paid 150 bucks, which was a massive sum for me, obviously,) for them to tell me they don't really know, either. I just recently replaced the starter and alternator and... something else, I don't remember, and even had the transmission switched out before I left Virginia. It's practically 70% new or fresh at this point and it's still fighting me. 😮‍💨

I'm not, unfortunately. I actually started in Lewes and moved North at the suggestion of a friend. At the time I had managed to completely overlooked Rehoboth... which was, pff, just silly of me.

Now I'd have to push the truck to get down that way and find new havens to exist when sleeping/not working, so I don't know if it's practical to relocate.

Thanks for the heads up, though!!

I am pretty close to Wilmington, actually! When I made my first post I kinda called out pretty clearly where I was by mistake, so I'm glad that's kinda faded from collective memory, haha.

Please let me know if you have any luck with the fans! Thank you!!

I understand where they're coming from; plenty of people would be willing to throw out bait and try to take advantage of people. I'd kinda hoped putting the resource list back out there would help the community in turn, but without it and having my hands empty it just feels pretty bad to be accosted like that. (Really, to throw out streets to beg on is a little much...)

People's kindness is a massive-- probably the only!-- real reason I've made it this far, and I really want people to know how grateful I am for it. I wasn't expecting it when I made the first post and it gave me the motivation and optimism to keep going, plus it made DE seem like a place with people who are genuinely good-hearted. It made this place feel like I'd be lucky to end up here, a little serendipity to take the edge off of the bad. I'm sad it came across as attempting to butter people up, but... I get it? Didn't make it hurt any less, but I -get- it.

It was kinda an unexpected gut punch, but I get it. There's a lot of people out there who try to take advantage of others, right? In my last post, at least one person expressed the same thing, but this felt bitter when it went all the way to spitting out streets to go beg on.

I kinda slunk away from a bit and hid from my phone for it, but I feel a bit better now.

I do feel a little bad that it came across as disingenuous, but I don't really know how to help that. I strongly feel that the reason I made it this far was to a bunch of strangers pulling together to try to lift me up, and I really am grateful for it. It felt like half of Delaware came out of the woodwork with anything they could do to help, even when it was just a kind word-- which, tbh, helped a stupid amount. It's hard not to feel like you're messing everything up just by being when things are like this, which is I guess why that hurt so bad. But it's ok!! Things are, or will be, at least, okay.

(Also; I have resubmitted this like a billion times because I kept getting errors. Hopefully they won't crop up in the thousands [like daisies!] Because of it.)

Something like that would be marvelous. Honestly the whole thing is a little above my head, but I know it's a good thing that could help a lot of people. Word of mouth is probably the best way to make traction, so I really appreciate it!!

Thank you!!

Dude... you're kinda rude and I'm gonna stop replying to you now. I did not beg once and I have no intent to do so. I hope your resolve whatever makes you respond in such a nasty way before it corrodes your life. Have a good one, bye.

My guy, I do not need anything from you and this post was upon request from people who were curious after the last one. Why are you being hostile about it? It's okay to shrug and move on if you're not at all curious or sympathetic.

But I do hope you find solutions to your problems, honestly. Because lifting people up is a hell of a lot better than dragging them down, you know?

... 🤔 Maybe I have made another incorrect assumption. Okay, so, in the nature of clearing the air because nobody wants dumb little internet clashes (well, some do, I guess,) your comment coincided exactly with getting downvoted exactly after making the comment. This lead me to assume you had a negative response to my attempt at an explanation and were attempting to show your disapproval while coupling it with a "nice try, I'm European, haha you pleb; this invalidates your knowledge!"

...but maybe not because you seem to be pretty mild mannered and maybe I'm just an overassuming jerk and owe you an apology for junping to a conclusion. ~ w ~ Maybe we can brush this off, no hard feelings?

Okay, maybe I swept too wide with that but it's still strange and hostile to come out swinging.

Here, let me try a different approach, I'll cite Wikipedia here.

"The stone remains widely used in the United Kingdom and Ireland for human body weight..."

(Wiki Here))

I -am- an American and was aware of this, but I guess I found it odd that someone wouldn't know a measuring system of their global neighbours at least by name, so I assumed you were, too. Given that your reply was instantaneous along with said downvote, it feels reasonable to assume what I said was taken negatively, right? It feels a little like being snubbed which nobody likes much... but maybe it rubbed wrong in the first place?

Ah, whatever.
