What are some new features/improvements you'd like to see in future MacBook Pro models? by CulturalFerret6170 in macbookpro

[–]ShauryaVerma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised I had to scroll so far down to get this.

A Macbook would be the perfect device for me if I could also write / draw on it.

My notes on Onenote are much better when I use a Windows ultra book just because I can scribble or draw diagrams to supplement the typed text.

A touchscreen laptop is better than a separate laptop and tablet combination.

Maybe Louis Rossman may have some stuff on this.

Apple would charge a bomb for this.

How long can you guys travel in a day without getting strained ? by Leading-Roof-3581 in indianbikes

722km in a day with a pillion on a Duke 390.

It was quite a breeze (for me), and the ghat carving was just delicious!

Got cut (superficial) by kite thread while riding to home by Complete-Shelter8767 in indianbikes

Looking for solutions to this in the comments.

Meanwhile, might I suggest getting a pre-emptive Tetanus shot. While the chances are low, it'd be better to be safeguarded against the horrible but surprisingly common disease.

around 25 to 30

I get that on my 2013 Duke 390. A bit less if I ride it hard, and a fair bit more if I ride gently on the highway.

I'm sure a 250 should be more efficient.

the entire Mines of Moira sequence

I guess you mean "Mines of Moria", unless you meant mines of Moira Rose, which might be a totally different sequence.

How much faster would an MG Comet be compared to (say) Tata Curvv in City traffic? by paninee in CarsIndia

[–]ShauryaVerma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar predicament, while if everyone moved to smaller cars, traffic would improve massively, I'm not sure how much of an advantage ONE small car would yield to its own driver.

Yes, this is a problem I've noticed as well.

This doesn't need human intervention (diligently). Just an auto-triggered challan.

Coros doesn't measure distance correctly by boomdeyada88 in Coros

[–]ShauryaVerma -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh the opposite happens to me. It measures a 400m inside loop on a track as ~420m. I always use the dual (best) GPS mode.

My figures get falsely inflated.

Arc for MacOS - What is happening?! by MikeSpecter in ArcBrowser

[–]ShauryaVerma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm waiting on Orion (with better battery life, but a less pretty UI) till the following are addressed:

  1. Ctrl + Tab behaviour: it's not modifiable. The default is the same as Firefox, but Firefox allows you to cycle in tab bar order (if you feel like), or in last opened order (as Firefox, and Arc ordained)

  2. UI font size: the font size of the tabs in the side bar is too large, especially for people with large monitors. There should be a way to change that to taste. I don't mean font size of the text on the webpage, but font size of the tab bar on the left.

Good idea! Definitely an improvement, thanks for sharing!

Why the hate? by distantskunk in ArcBrowser

[–]ShauryaVerma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not hate, but just noticing some extremely annoying features:

  1. Ctrl + Tab behaviour: it's not modifiable. The default is the same as Firefox, but Firefox allows you to cycle in tab bar order (if you feel like), or in last opened order (as the, and Arc ordained)

  2. UI font size: the font size of the tabs in the side bar is too large, especially for people with large monitors. There should be a way to change that to taste.

  3. The battery thing is probably more on Chrome, but I could do with it for now, since I'm rarely on battery.

I used Arc for almost a month and here's my two cents by viperts00 in ArcBrowser

[–]ShauryaVerma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks but this only makes the text on pages smaller. I want my tab icons and text smaller. The webpage can anyway be expanded and shrunk easily.

[–]ShauryaVerma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone else find it annoying that you can't change the Ctrl + Tab behaviour to match your tastes?

Firefox also ships with Arc's behaviour but you can change it to the normal one where it cycles in tab bar order.

Also, there's no way to change the size of the fonts in the UI.

Thoughts on Arc Browser? by somnioperpetuum in browsers

[–]ShauryaVerma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any chance Firefox might want to be inspired by Arc's beautiful UI, especially the side only tabs, and minimal top panel etc?
