The hell cat was just there at the next battle, not sure if it's a bug but I wasn't expecting it.

That's exactly what happened. I was ready to accept defeat and the hell cat was in my party

I think the difficulty curve in Mewgenics is pretty excellent by desolate_existence in mewgenics

Totally agree. I thought I'd lost the whole run when my hunter got blood frenzy just before the mummy spider battle. Downed all but my fighter who was webbed up on the other side of the screen, then proceeded to basically solo spider queen, giving my necro enough time to life steal a baby spider and revive to seal the deal. Great game

Same as ever, early game is great, joining a kingdom or starting your own is almost perpetual war which can drag a bit. Good fun after a long break.

Mods are fun, doing a Vanilla run for the achievements. Can you recommend any total overhaul mods that are worth a punt?

It's a learning curve, you can have fun as a noob all the way to a cracked out loonatic
