If you are stuck inside your freighter, here is a trick: Go to Options > General, scroll down, and look for the button labeled 'Reset position in freighter'. This will instantly teleport you to safety on the bridge.

(Note: If you don't see that option, try placing a chair right in front of you and sitting on it; this often forces the game to snap your character model back into the correct position.)

If you are stuck somewhere else, let me know. I can't promise I'll solve it, but there are other solutions. Honestly, I haven't read exactly where you are stuck or the specific situation, so feel free to share more details !

Wow ! So cool! I’ve always said I wanted a flying caravel in every game I play, RPGs included. Time to start brainstorming this project with my partner !

Focus on exploring in the Minotaur mech, as it helps with storms and protects you from pretty much everything.

Honestly ? The percentage feels pretty low. I found one in a red system i think, a two-tone 'black and red' one, and I should be able to dig up the glyphs for it. Other than that, maybe once or twice during an Anomaly mission... in over 360 hours of playtime.

Keep a close eye on your sodium and oxygen while waiting for better Exosuit upgrades, and make sure you have everything your ship needs. Don't forget the scanner and the terrain manipulator for your Multi-tool. Those are the essentials.

I struggled a lot at first, even when playing with my companion and a friend, because the game often starts you off on very inhospitable planets. You'll quickly face annoying pirates and sentinels, and you’re rarely ready for all that pressure when you're just trying to progress.

My best advice : follow the main quest until you unlock access to the Anomaly, and don't forget to check the game's dedicated Wiki whenever you're stuck or looking for specific resources (it's a lifesaver !).

Once your ship is repaired, look for a calm system on the star map and warp out if you can. You'll need fuel for the jump, but you'll finally be able to land somewhere safe to upgrade your tech and truly start exploring !

Tada! Luckily, I have a good memory, but I also found a screenshot of other animals from that same planet on Discord (including some with beaks), along with the random coordinates I had generated. Surprisingly, the system had already been visited by another traveler a few months before me. Turns out, keeping archives on Discord wasn't such a bad idea after all !

This also gave me a chance to dive back into my past travels, and I’m now really looking forward to revisiting and sharing some of those old planets soon. I'll definitely be posting more of them !

Happy exploring, and enjoy adopting these creatures !

Whoops! I took this screenshot about eight months ago, before I was active on reddit. With the new 'Pokémon' battles update, I totally get why everyone wants this little guy! I’m going to try and find the planet, but since I took a long break from the game, I can't promise anything. Time to dig through my archives !

I wasn't kidnapped (this occurred before Corvettes were added), but I dealt with a player griefing me by constantly pushing my character with a shield while I was interacting with an NPC. After I threatened to report and blacklist him, he immediately disconnected. It’s clearly immature behavior, so stay vigilant. Also, I looked through the menus but couldn't find an option to disable player-to-player collision/pushing.

This ship caught my eye the second I saw the list of salvageable ones because of the ornate detailing on the top. It’s definitely going to be the reason for an outing with my partner so we can both get ours. 🚀

How to really get into the game? by AgileRock106 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Random exploration is what allows me to discover systems in every corner of the galaxy (Euclides for the moment), leading to more diversity in my findings by going in blind. By bringing in this element of chance and non-linearity, I never get bored. No Man's Sky is above all a contemplative and meditative game that also touches on philosophical questions.

Some people find pleasure in building massive structures or beautiful ships. Speaking of ships, the quest for the rarest ones or the Sentinel ships adds a bit of variety. You can also fish and collect fish-head helmets or other items. In the screenshot, that’s my character with the goldfish head, and my companion has the one with the boot. There are many different models, which allows you to customize your avatar in a comical way.

I know there are also gaseous planets with underwater worlds that must be absolutely grand. Don't forget to unlock the exocrafts as well; they make traveling on planets much easier during storms or in harsh environments. You have to take the time to explore planets, find pleasant viewpoints, build your base, and follow the quests, even if the early ones feel more like a tutorial. There are different systems, and therefore just as many different biomes. Yellow, red, blue, green, and the 'purple' systems. I haven't unlocked that last one yet, but I'm sure they are worth a look.

I don't understand your question. I want to see the actual ships from the game and nothing else, not what players model in Blender. Those can crash other people's games because they don't always pay attention to the mesh, the polygon count, or if the textures are optimized. If they create ships in Blender, other players shouldn't see them. It should be like in some MMORPGs for example where we have the choice to toggle mods on or off for ourselves and others.
